Bracketmatrix 2021-22

I don't care what anyone says, if we win tomorrow there are not 4 better resumes than Tennessee's. Stop looking at how many losses we have. That isn't the determining factor. We've beaten Kentucky twice, Arizona, Auburn, Arkansas, LSU, etc.

If Kentucky is worthy of a #1 seed, we sure as hell are. We might not get it, but we deserve it.

Nobody has better wins than us really. It’s just we have too many losses IMO. I don’t see us getting a 1

I just cant see them putting Vols ahead of UK AND Auburn... Even with recent wins vs both. Committee says they don't put significance on final 10 games anymore. Don't be shocked if we are a 3 tomorrow. Most Bracketologists still have us as a 3.
•Auburn is 6-4 in their last 10 games.
•Kentucky is 7-3 in their last 10 games.
•Tennessee is 9-1 in their last 10 games. 2-0 vs UK in that stretch, and 1-0 vs Auburn.

An SECT Champion at 26-7, who is 11-7 in Q1 games with 0 losses outside of Q1 is a stone-cold lock for a 2-seed, minimum.

Gonzaga is locked in as a 1. Arizona cam lock in a 1 with a win over UCLA in the Pac12 championship, tonight. Kansas can lock in a 1 seed with a win over Texas Tech in the Big12 championship, tonight. That last 1 seed is up for grabs. Purdue can lock it up, Duke can lock it up, but if both fall in their conference tournament finals, Tennessee has a shot with an impressive win against aTm. It's an outside shot, but not entirely out of the question.

Too many losses as compared to who besides Arizona and Gonzaga?

Auburn and Duke don’t have the SOS the others do

Kentucky same amount of losses
Kansas 1 less
Nova same amount
Baylor only 1 less
Purdue only 1 less

If Purdue and KU lose, I think we get it.
If one lose, I think we have almost a 50/50 shot.
If they both win, we are probably out of it but still our resume is right there.

You’re saying if Kansas were to lose we have same amount? I thought Kansas had 6

Yes my bad that was poorly written clearly if Kansas wins I think they get in.

But Baylor/Purdue/Tennessee/Nova would be an interesting discussion for the last 1 in that scenario.

Ik people want to throw Duke in there too and Auburn but their resume in my mind only looks good at a surface level looking at losses

Anyone who thinks that Tennessee is getting a 3 seed is absolutely insane. Even with a loss tomorrow, Tennessee won't have a single non-Q1 defeat and would have a record of over .500 in Q1 games. Tennessee was a 3 seed in the Top 16 preview, and has gone (through today) 3-1 in Q1 games since that point... with no other losses aside from that Q1 loss to Arky!

A 1 seed is a stretch, but it's more realistic than a 3 at this point.

2012, a 5 loss Kansas team loses in the B12 tournament to a top 12 Baylor team. Michigan State, with 7 losses, won the Big 10 tournament and got the #1 seed nod over Kansas with 6 losses.

Lunardi is an absolute clown. He still has us behind both Auburn and Kentucky. How is it possible to be this bad at your job? 😂🤣

It's actually very easy to be this bad if none of your coworkers/bosses at ESPN care about your accuracy relative to other brackets. I'm always waiting for an analyst to call him out on it, but that never happens!
