Were we to win tomorrow, that's 11 Q1 wins if I'm not mistaken. Suggesting that a team with that many Q1 wins and 0 bad losses is stuck as a 3 seed is ridiculously stupid.

If they would stop looking at where they previously had them and looked at actual resumes, we should be in conversation for a 1 seed and not a 3. All the media does is move people up and down from the precious week, but never the actual data. Ever since we beat Auburn, no one really moved us up much for some reason and it keeps happening after every big win. Anyone else beats a top 5 team and they skyrocket

It would be nice to get the first #1 seed in school history, but either way, I have to think we’ll be either the first or second 2-seed which in many ways is just as good. I like our chances with facing Baylor or Kansas. Neither team strikes fear in my heart and I think Baylor is particularly vulnerable with their injuries.

That is nauseating.

Lunardi said that Kentucky was still in play for a 1 seed today. Okay, fine... but it doesn't impact our seeding at all when we beat them for the 2nd time? We finished with the same conference record, and we will have the same overall record (if we win tomorrow)... with similar schedules.

Where is the logic in that?

They’re Kentucky and we’re Tennessee. Same reason Duke will be ahead of us

Duke being ahead is even worse id say. Let’s cancel out both of our neutral court wins over Kentucky. They’ve got a neutral court win over Gonzaga. Awesome. We’ve got wins agaisnt Arizona, Kentucky, Auburn, Arkansas. And, unlike them, we have no bad losses

Before this game I would fully disagree but our total resume competes with all the other teams in contention for a 1 seed. If you look at the total body of work and ignore the loses (of which we have 0 bad loses), then you can’t help but at least consider us for a 1 seed.

Helps us get a 2-seed. Hurts us with the 1-seed. Baylor with the early exit didn’t seem to hurt them at all, so it seems like Kansas losing would have been the last hope to opening the door.

Personally, I don’t understand why Baylor isn’t in danger of falling to a 2-seed.

Not sure how the committee or anyone could come to the conclusion that Tennessee is not one of the top 8 teams in the country.

Wins over probable 1 seed Arizona, 2 seed Auburn and 2 wins over probable 2 seed KY.

Second SEC regular season and at worst second in the SEC tourney.

Since Jan 15th they are 14-2 with wins over then ranked: #13 LSU, #4 KY, #3 Aub, #14 ARK, & #5 KY

Heck who in the country is playing better?

I also forgot to mention……all while playing one of the toughest schedules in the country.

Unless we just get absolutely skull dragged tomorrow, I don't see how we aren't a 2 seed. I also don't see how KY could be seeded higher than us, given how we've beat them twice and have similar records.

They'll have to win tomorrow to get a 2 seed. Shouldn't have too but they will. They still think this is the same team from earlier this year, it's not. This version is much better.
