Brandon Warren (merged)

Does it seem odd to anybody else that according to UTSports.com the tightends caught 45 passes for 421 yards last season. I thought it was lower than that. The yards seem ok, but the catches... It says 31 for Chris Brown. I will say I think Warren is a guy you can use like we attempted to use Jason Witten. I think we underused Witten though.

im sure that we'll use him well. hes prob gonna catch more passes here than he did there...especially since their offense is changing

but if we're winning and its working...whose gonna complain? assuming warren even comes to ut. besides, i doubt we keep as much talent that we have coming in off the field.

Not me but the thread for the WOW offense just seems that most people would enjoy a 4 wide air it out offense over a 2 TE set.

yea it would definetely be entertaining, no doubt about that. i seriously doubt berry ever gets a chance to play qb though as mentioned in the WOW offense

I wouldn't rule out so Berry QB plays. If Berry is "all that". They might give him the Eric Locke package, and we all remember how well that went.

i wouldnt be suprised if they gave him a package...but not a starter...unless we run into a problem where all our qbs suck

I'm up for putting the best athletes on the field. If Berry can run an option every now and then, let him. Look at McFadden or even Tebow. Everyone knew it was coming and it still worked (not necesarily an option, but a run or play action to safe reciever ie low risk throw).

the most fluke play in College Football last year and ofcourse it happens for the crocodiles

There will be alot of unhappy fans if UT runs a 2 TE set and lets the athletes that came in this year's recruiting class set on the bench. Assuming Warren even comes to UT.

2 TE, 2 WR set as opposed to 1 TE and 3 WR this year. whats so bad about that? we got 3 potential freshmen WR who are better then Chris Brown and Warren?

We don't run one specific set so it is moot. It also depends on what all happens. Warren could have his appeal denied and have to sit. Paige could RS and Vinson could not qualify. We would still have Kenny O'Neal and Gerald Jones but that would still take a big hit.

Vinson, Paige and Jones according to most some posters on here. Nobody knows anything until they come in and practice. I myself would rather see the offense in a regular formation (2 TE or I-backfield) than 4-wide all the time. Whatever works really.

buzzkill. i just want vinson to qualify...in all reality warren will have to sit. the important thing is vinson must qualify!

And that's true too. We shouldn't expect Warren to play until '08 if he even does come here.

im hoping quinton hancock or briscoe will step up or something...then it may not be as big as an issue. i dont see lucas taylor stepping up really.

Everybody on the team I talk to say that Hancock has great hands, but lacks that extra gear and Briscoe is scared of the middle of the field. Briscoe's problem is mental and Hancock could become the next Bret Smith, just always makes the great 3rd down catch.
