You do make a valid point but you have to at least acknowledge that OSU's schedule was harder than Bamas.
Now what is being said is Bama lost to the #1 team by 3 points in OT as the reason. Well, in many peoples eyes that is not a positive, it's a negative as they had their chance.
I would rather see LSU play OSU but I have to admit there is a part of me that wants to see the rematch just so this becomes Epic, as I can't stand Saban. Another victory over Saban will just put this season over the top.
The question is this really, what happens if Boise St. had zero loses?
If the question is getting the two best teams in there, how do you determine such.
Utah had a weak schedule and wiped Alabama, everyone left them out of the race because of their schedule, once you go down that road than you just have to go down that road... switching back and forth causes problems. IMHO
I think most college football fans are on the same page as far as not wanting to see a rematch. And I think this is the BCS's biggest nightmare. A playoff would cure this, and there should be one yesterday. But given the system that we have, the only fair scenerio is for LSU and Bama, the two proven best teams in the nation, to play for the NC. There's just no other way to do it without causing utter chaos.
