Bruce Feldman and Tim Brando criticize the SEC's handling of LSU/Florida

Are you going to write the check? The non-conference games aren't going to be rescheduled to December 10th.

It forces LSU into 3 tough away games in a row, and 3 games in 12 days. No way they will agree to that without moving something else.

LSU I think has offered three dates:

- 12/3 Georgia Dome
- 11/19 Baton Rouge (this has been implied by them saying it will be a home game)
- 10/29 Florida if Alabama has a game moved to their bye date

I don't see it happening and LSU doesn't believe the game will be rescheduled.

I know you're an LSU homer, but you're out of your mind if you truly believe this game won't be played. All other SEC schools and fans will have pitchforks in hand if they decide to just let it go

We need a few more posts from LSU-SIU to say the same thing over and over. Bad actors, lsu forfeit, bad actors, lsu forfeit, etc, etc. I'm going to see what this ignore button does.

Well, isn't the bigger problem that a bunch of 3rd party fans are upset that Florida might win the East (although I don't think so) and keep crying to me? I mean you have a whole bunch of people whining over and over about the same thing.... "they have to play the game". I actually agree... its the same thing over and over since last Tuesday-Wednesday, yet here we go with another thread in the other room about the same thing.

It's getting very petty to demand that Bama play someone on Oct. 29 if that's their open date. This is why we need a strong Commish with the power to dictate the fairest solution possible. They're not going to have two teams move a game just to even out bye weeks.

The SEC commissioner's office needs to take a stand and pick a date. It's his job to do that at this point. The game needs to be scheduled within the SEC regular season timeframe. If somebody doesn't want to show up then don't.

But allowing either schools AD to continue to control the dialog at this point is laughable and grounds to immediately can his ass and get somebody in the position with a spine in his back and a descended pair hanging.

LSU doesn't think the game will be reschedule, but no its not petty. If you had a Commissioner with a clue this would have been over last week. They're lucky LSU offered this under the circumstances, as I said, LSU doesn't think the game will be rescheduled.

I know it may not be best for "LSU" but it's what's best for the entire "SEC"

Something that should have been thought about last week, right? You are acting like this was a mistake, it wasn't. Why was Stinkey misrepresenting the known facts on live TV? I don't know the answer that either.

For 11/19

- Florida will have to pay a buyout.
- LSU will have to pay the buyout and lose the home game revenue.

So if LSU plays South Alabama in Baton Rouge on Dec 10 that's not a home game? If Florida plays Presbyterian in Gainesville on Dec 10 they'll have to pay a buyout?

You're acting like the future of LSU football hinges on the South Alabama game

Tough luck. But this game will be played whether you, LSU, or anyone else likes it or not. Sorry, your tears don't matter in the grand scheme of things

Im with the LSU guy. I think its gonna be tough rescheduling this game. Very tough.

Delaying the SECCG requires delaying the CFP committee a week from their pairings for the CFP AND all of the Jan 1 bowls....Dec 11th would be the date now. You're asking all of the college football world to delay their plans cause Sankey kissed Foley's ass? I don't think that's gonna fly.

Cant blame LSU for playing Florida or S.Alabama the week before bama. We know from playing Ohio players can get hurt playing any game.

I don't think they can reshuffle the schedule enough to keep everyone happy. A lot of $$ is gonna have to be spent to make it work. Not sure the SEC office has that lying around...other schools would have to commit part of their share...again, just cause UF didn't want to play? No way

LSU is not going to give up a schedule home game on Senior Night for something that was avoidable by the other two parties. LSU has given three options, that might be the best ever gets and I don't think Florida will agree to anything anyway.

Both Florida and LSU would have to pay the buyouts, there isn't going to be any games on Dec 10th. So, let me get this right.... LSU or Florida might have to then play two games on Dec. 10th?

Florida has no incentive to agree to anything at all.

What other game does LSU have scheduled on Dec 10?

If it doesn't get rescheduled, then the commish needs to say that what counts to get to Atlanta is your record against your division opponents. If LSU/UF don't play, that is one less cross-division game for them. So to level the playing field, nobody's cross-division games will count with respect to getting to Atlanta.

Okay now that we have heard all of that LSU. Bottom Line is this: If that game does not get played then (as your AD said) it will probably be decided using divisional records or Florida and LSU won't be eligible to go to Atlanta. As long as that is the solution there should be no issue with whether Florida and LSU play the game.
