If they ever want to truly be taken seriously, then their AD needs to be proactive in getting them into a BCS conference. Teams are moving around all over the place, but you didn't see Boise stepping up to the plate trying to bite off a real challenge did you? No, they took the easy way out and barely upped the ante by going to the MWC.

You don't know what you are talking about. You really don't. If you think Boise State wouldn't sacrifice their first born to get into a BCS conference, you should watch figure skating. If they ever want to truly be taken seriously, then their AD needs to be proactive in getting them into a BCS conference. They're happy in this little niche that they've carved out being the underdog that gets to whine each year when they get left out of the NCG. Now they've parlayed that whining into a rediculously high preseason ranking, and college football will now lose what tiny bit of credibility it had left if they are allowed to play for a BCSNC.
It really comes down to the integrity of the game and NCAA football, imo. It's just not right.
How does allowing a team a shot at a championship beacause they played cupcakes in all but one game, yet excluding a team (Bama for instance) who might lose one game, but played against the toughest competition that D-1 has to offer, honor the "integrity of the game"?
If that's the case, UT needs to get the hell out of the SEC, join the Sun Belt and start winning some more championships.
OK, so here it is....
Boise State and every other team in a non-BCS conference school need not field a team.
All underdogs are given a loss regardless of the outcome of the game.
SEC gets an automatic birth in the NCG.
The BCS institutes a gestapo to squash all opposition.
...I can see how this would make some people on here proud.

They don't have the market. They don't have the academics. They don't have the size. They don't have anything, BUT the football team of a BCS school.
What BCS conference should they go for? I've broken this down in another thread, there is absolutely NONE that would take them any time in the next 10 or more years for a variety of reasons that have NOTHING to do with actual football.
They are NOT happy in their little niche, obviously, because they are being denied opportunity (see last year's undefeated season in which they beat top 10 Oregon and top 10 TCU).
If a team can go undefeated two years in a row with wins over multiple ranked teams, then college football has no credibility to lose anyway.
FWIW, all the BCS confernce lovers on here should be ecstatic about BSU goint to the NCG. It would validate the BCS works as designed.
I'm pretty sure I'm free to argue that I think Boise State gets more credit than they deserve. I'm pretty sure no one here will be voting in the polls, but it doesn't mean they can't talk about it.
