Butch left something out of his remark: "We probably played the worst half of football ever BECAUSE I CHOSE TO PLAY THE WRONG QUARTERBACK--AND THEN KEPT IN THE GAME FOR THE ENTIRE HALF."
I like Jones--but that's what he SHOULD have said. If he had started Worley, the first half would have been better--no question about it. Florida was as bad as we were--and yet led us by 10 points.

The record is exactly what I expected. The problem is that I didn't expect to see our worst loss in a century to be followed up by the most inept half of football I've ever seen.
Yes and if he had started Worley and we lost all of you would be b******* that Butch should have played Peterman or a Freshman. I too got caught up in the first half and was furious when he left Peterman in but the fact is Florida had one of the best defenses in the country. I am proud of the vols for not quitting but we were outgunned just like last week.
I can blow smoke up your a** all day. I want to see results
What should he say?
the bottom line--and we saw that immediately after Worley came into the game. He was better. The offense was not at in synch with Peterman in the game--it was a mess; he was a mess. Jones get paid a lot of money to make smart decisions--tough decisions--and starting Peterman was a bad decision (he'd never started a game, so you're going to start him at florida?)--and then he compounded the problem by sticking with him for so long. I wasn't one of the guys who was screaming for Peterman or a freshman after Oregon.
when the offense is completely INCOMPETENT and giving away points when you have another QB who CLEARLY would have been better. That is stupid. We're trying to win a freakin' game for a change--and it sure looked to me like it was game we could have won, at least for a long while. Worley isn't great by any stretch, but he would have been MUCH better than Peterman, as we saw in the 2nd half. We had 5 yards passing in the first half--5 yards!
Well dang last week it was if we hsd played patterson he would have been better then worley now this week if we had played worley in the 1st half it would have been better well I can't say either way but dang make up everyone's mind and stick with it good or bad.
I didn't feel like we were completely out coached or outclassed today. I'm disappointed because I don't think we have done enough to establish an offensive identity, but that is part of changing your scheme mixed with a lack of talent.
