Basically said peterman was better in practice. I'm not sure he would have switched to Worley if peterman hadn't hurt his hand.

Yes and if he had started Worley and we lost all of you would be b******* that Butch should have played Peterman or a Freshman. I too got caught up in the first half and was furious when he left Peterman in but the fact is Florida had one of the best defenses in the country. I am proud of the vols for not quitting but we were outgunned just like last week.

Partially agree. I did expect to be demolished at Oregon...Too much speed, vs. too little depth and experience.

Granted, today's 1st half was terrible. But that was, in large part, due to starting and leaving in, a QB that only dug the hole deeper.

Had we just stuck with our starter, no matter how unimpressive he has been, I don't think our first half would have been nearly so bad. And I think we would've won.

Should've waited one more week, to do the Peterman experiement....South Alabama might have been a little more forgiving. Worley should've started today.

the bottom line--and we saw that immediately after Worley came into the game. He was better. The offense was not at in synch with Peterman in the game--it was a mess; he was a mess. Jones get paid a lot of money to make smart decisions--tough decisions--and starting Peterman was a bad decision (he'd never started a game, so you're going to start him at florida?)--and then he compounded the problem by sticking with him for so long. I wasn't one of the guys who was screaming for Peterman or a freshman after Oregon.

I don't understand what your issue is. The team lost. We expected them to. The team lost to Oregon. We expected them to. The team is 2-2. We expected them to be. Jones has post-game conferences. We expect him to.

So, what is your malfunction? Is this just a tantrum, or do you have a point?

Well dang last week it was if we hsd played patterson he would have been better then worley now this week if we had played worley in the 1st half it would have been better well I can't say either way but dang make up everyone's mind and stick with it good or bad.

"I suck, I should have known I wasn't as good as I thought I was. I hereby resign as head coach."

I mean lets face it. He obviously is a horrid coach after losing two games. One to a top five offense and another to a top five defense.

After four games we have this fact clear...neither Worley or Peterman are the answer to our offensive need.

I didn't feel like we were completely out coached or outclassed today. I'm disappointed because I don't think we have done enough to establish an offensive identity, but that is part of changing your scheme mixed with a lack of talent.

Some of you are just dumbasses. This team was still hitting hard and swarming even late in the game. Also was trying to score and compete and trying to score until the end. This has not happened the last three years.
Everyone who knows football said we were low on talent and you just say they are UT haters.

You were same ones who complained when we would lose two games. You can't teach speed or talent but you can recruit it.
This team is showing small steps by playing hard for UT and this staff but if they read this crap, you can rest assured they don't play for you. Most would despise you as POS SABS.
So quit being dumb asses and get behind a team that is playing the best they can with the talent they have till the clock shows zeros. GBO

Uhm, its Peterman. And I personally never said that we should start him today. I think Worley should've started today, and I did before the game, too. Then, if he doesn't perform, give Peterman the shot against a MUCH weaker South Alabama team.

I mean, Peterman gave us 3 impressive points in the game against Austin Peay, after scoring 45 in the first half with Worley. We had every reason to think he would lead us to victory in the Swamp.

You're right. I noticed they cut the read option out in the second half. It just takes too long to develop and we don't have the right weapons yet. Plus Florida's D is fast!
