Bye, bye, Rich Rod

I think it's safe to say that you can be very good at any trade and just be a horrible fit somewhere and it not work out. I think that describnes RichRod and Michigan better than any other way I can think of.

If not, who do they go after? The Mad Hatter? Surely not.

One would think if they can't get Harbaugh, Rodriguez would get another year.

Hoke is the ace in the hole i would think. He would take the job in a second and wouldn't be a bad hire for Michigan at all.

So Michigan is going to scrap the spread, start over from scratch, all to get - Brady Hoke?

Good luck with that.

Now I hope Harbaugh turns them down. What is Michigan's fall back plan other than Hoke?

There's no doubt they are going after Harbaugh, and at this point I'm willing to bet they will maek him an offer that will at least make him think long and hard about it.

If I was their AD, I'd keep pursue Harbaugh while offering increasing amounts until he accepts or gets a restraining order.

It has to be said as somebody will.....

"How will this affect our recruiting, and can we pick up any commits that would decommits from their current class"

I forgot about Hoke. He's a solid coach, but a long fall from Harbaugh who is wanted by everyone and is a true "Michigan man".

I've just been of the opinion that Michigan wasn't going to fire Rodriguez unless Harbaugh was seriously interested. We'll see how it plays out.

That was my position on what should be done, but it really looks like Rich Rod just lost control at the end.

I think Tressel would certainly prefer that to Harbaugh.

Harbaugh in Ann Arbor is a scary thought for all opposing coaches in the "Big Ten". I personally would love to see the Buckeyes and Tressel get owned my Michigan. That rivalry needs it and...the Buckeyes suck. :)

Don't be suprised if Harbaugh gets an offer of about four million. Michigan has some pockets and the boosters absolutely will do whatever it takes to get him.
