The next coach at Tennessee isn't likely on anyone's list or radar right now. Tennessee would end the basketball program before they fired Barnes and he clearly loves money, so no way he's giving up 5 million a year as long as he's healthy. It seems that people think if you express displeasure with the job he did this year it automatically means you think he's getting fired. He will be here 3-5 more years barring an NCAA scandal and yes, he underachieved this year and didn't do all that well last year either. He's had 2 really notable seasons here out of 6 and he beats Kentucky some. That's plenty for some but others would like to see UT win at the highest level. It now invests the money in doing so, something it didn't always do before. However the fact that in 34 years Barnes only has 1 final four doesn't lend itself to much hope of actual championships here for the crowd that would like to win one.
