Why are some people afraid to admit hart and cheek did not drop the ball and gruden never wanted to be coach at Tennessee?

Um - that would be because Hart and Cheek dropped the ball.

It's insane with where we were, how Dooley was doing, not to have an idea who you were going to go after and try to hire 6 months ago.

Oh that's right - not an important hire - and securing a 3 million dollar great coaches should be not different than how one approaches hiring a secretary in Humanities.

We'll get around to it - we'll see some people we know at the coaching convention. "Hey - Cheek - the wife and I are flying to Louisville want to tag along?"

I wouldn't brink Cheek along if I was trying to hire a new janitor for Thompson Boling. Just feels creepy.

Gruden has zero college head coach experience. I have no idea if he would be great HC or a lousy HC, so to say he would have been a homerun hire and would have been successful is just as dumb because you have no idea either.
