Yes but shouldn’t we expect better?
If you're a young, black, gay man, you're good to go.I pray to God I never have to rely on this justice system if my freedom were hanging in the balance. If there's any question the country isn't already lost, this should answer it. Every last player has a motive, from sitting judges to politicians and prosecutors. And they will apply their pressure to fit their narrative or motives. God help us all.
Maybe but I’d rather justice be dealt at whatever cost. Fake hate crimes need to be dealt with the same severity as actual ones.
That is an absurd position. Some hate crimes can get the death penalty. You think capital punishment would be appropriate for a fake hate potentially? Good think our constitution protects us from absurdity like this.Maybe but I’d rather justice be dealt at whatever cost. Fake hate crimes need to be dealt with the same severity as actual ones.
And had a race war kicked off and people killed over a hoax? That is an absurd position. Some hate crimes can get the death penalty. You think capital punishment would be appropriate for a fake hate potentially? Good think our constitution protects us from absurdity like this.
Fortunately it didn’t happen. But very easily could have if the police didn’t expose the BS quickly.
You can’t just gloss over this. 16 felonies and he gets community service. That’s crap man.
The prosecutors office didn’t say that. They said they felt he was punished enough by the community service and the forfeiture of his bail. And then this POS doubles down and says he was innocent of all charges and he couldn’t be “his mothers son” if he lied about this.Apparently he is the victim of prosecutorial misconduct. Why else do you think they dropped the charges?
this never got the attention some of the earlier stuff got. Ferguson or Baltimore. It was a political move but there was no sudden shift towards civil unrest because of it.Fortunately it didn’t happen. But very easily could have if the police didn’t expose the BS quickly.

Sure thing, Throw the book at someone then drop the charges. That fact has led to the DOJ and FBI getting involved. Do I think he has been exonerated, no. I think you have completely ignored the investigative shortcomings that led to the charges being dropped. Like I said before, the POS descriptor for Smollett is accurate IMO.The prosecutors office didn’t say that. Where has anyone claimed prosecutorial misconduct? I haven’t seen it.Sure thing, Throw the book at someone then drop the charges. That fact has led to the DOJ and FBI getting involved.
