It’s 100% Corbin. He left Leiter in to throw 123 pitches tonight and it was a signal to the LSU boosters because LSU has won 1 CWS in the last 20 years, they had 2 freshmen all-americans and 3 is the number of swamp people that are going to need to help Corbin move into his Baton Rouge mansion. It’s Corbin. Phew, we can all rest Tony will be back next year.

I realize you jest, but why wouldn't LSU make a good run at him? What do they have to lose?

What are you looking at? He took Marquette to NCAAT 5 out of 6 years including two S16’s and an EE. He took over a horrible VTech program and went to the NCAAT 3 of 5 years including a S16. Neither program hasn’t been close to that success since.

Just ask people who know college basketball, and they will tell you Buzz Williams is a hell of a coach.

Totally screwing around for the lols. I’m sure they could try, but Corbin isn’t young and Nashville would be a tough place to leave if you were treated well there. He’s got nothing to prove and nobody to impress. Totally speculating here

He might want to prove he can do it at a school without all the scholarships, as that is the frequent criticism of him. Just, speculating, too.

He can’t admit he made a mistake in thinking Woodward struck out and had to settle for O and Will Wade so he’s going to downplay every hire he’s made. Who cares if he offered Fisher a **** ton of money to get him there? He got him when others couldn’t. We offered Gundy a **** ton of money (a “ridiculous contract” offer I might say) and we struck out. Chris Petersen turned down USC yet Woodward got him to UW, how or why it doesn’t matter, other more prestigious schools couldn’t pull it off.

This has the stinch of Lane Kiffin all over it. Lane Kiffin was USC’s 10th choice and of course we get screwed.

So you get 3 assistants, counting a S&C coach; LSU is going to pay them $750k-$1M apiece? The bottom end of that is more than probably 90% of sitting P5 HC’s make.

Yeah those numbers are bananas. I have a hard time believing Tony’s had conversations with LSU to this point. I know it’s possible, but he’s not the type of guy to turn his focus and allow himself to be distracted. He wouldn’t do that to the kids or himself.

Let’s say they are true. There is no way Tennessee will match that. However, I do think it’s smoke.
