Crime Ridden Memphis

Watching the video. Something definitely looks off. The cops make a “routine traffic stop” for reckless driving and they immediately yank him out of the car and start tuning him up. And the Scorpion team is supposed to be focused on violent crime in high crime areas. Five Scorpion team members are making a routine traffic stop? I don’t buy it. Something smells. The take on it being personal sounds plausible. Hopefully it comes out.

I was thinking rival gangs… Memphis has gangs

What are the facts of this case? 5 black officers involved. 1 black guy died a few days after? Allegedly beaten so bad to succumb to injuries? Is that confirmed? Idk anything about it.
That’s it in a nutshell.. pulled out of the car reckless driving and then he got away and they chased him, caught him, and beat the crap out of him

More than just the officers involved need to be fired. The CoP needs to be fired along with most of their chain of command. This is complete incompetence at the highest levels starting all the way from the first ones that pulled him over. Completely disgraceful.
Yes it is. But I doubt seriously that the CoP gets fired.

This is not good Therapeutic Crisis Intervention 😂 (psych nurse a few years).. you learn how to take people down and restrain them so they can’t hit you.. dude was super pepper spray resistant that stuff hurts

I've seen some of the video, to be honest it looks less like trying to control someone as it does trying to punish someone.

Not sure what led up to the stop but the response from the cops seems way over the top from the beginning.
Exactly what I was thinking.. unless they ran his tags and he was a violent criminal.. just let his a$$ run off

Adrenaline and hyper stressful scenarios can really reduce effectiveness.

There are enough people on scene that they should have been able to effectively restrain and cuff or zip tie him. The fact they didn't makes me wonder how badly they really wanted him under control.

I'm typically the guy that says you should have listened to police commands but I'm not sure these officers ever game him a chance.
Same, but I think both parties are at fault
, but I would have let him run off.. dang, couldn’t catch him
