I'm not. You say the government shouldn't be pushing a religion. Do you actually think the university directed that the cross be placed there? The "woke" progressive university system? If the university was behind putting something on that mound, it would have have been the fish coming out of the water, developing legs symbol, painted rainbow, carrying a BLM flag. This was player driven. You are either for the players rights to display their beliefs or not.

As a Christian, it is a fine line to walk between displaying your faith and not shoving it down peoples' throats. There are lots of things that I see almost daily that I disagree with and would rather not have to see. However, I understand that if I want to have the freedom to display my faith and share that with those around me that have eyes to see and ears to hear then I have to be understanding of those things as well. It is frustrating sometimes though, as we are only human, that so many things are not only tolerated but even applauded by society but a simple thing like a cross or a family praying in a restaurant can cause such angst and derision. Did that cross or that prayer hurt anyone? No. Did that BLM protest that burned homes and businesses hurt anyone? Why, yes it did actually. At times like that I try to remember who is in charge of all things and that He uses all things for the glory of His kingdom.

There might not be some big commie meeting to discuss progress, but to deny that there is a concerted effort to use the school system to indoctrinate children is just silly. Why are the lefties having such fits about the bill in Florida that bans sexually explicit gender programs in K-3 grade? They need to start the programming at a young age to help it stick. My brother is very conservative and has raised his kids as such as well. My nephew has been in a program where he attends high school and Motlow Community College simultaneously for a couple of years now. My brother says the liberal nonsense that boy spouts after just a limited exposure to community college is just amazing. But yeah, colleges aren't left wing at all.
