Cuonzo Martin must be fired asap...

When there is a cover up, I'm sure there is only a select few that know about it.

I doubt the chancellor of Memphis knew about Rose situation.

I just don't think Pearl would have had Cheek "in the know" about Jones getting in. And I KNOW Cheek is not smart enough to figure it out himself.

There were major questions about jones getting in WHILE pearl was here. CCM wanted and needed jones, if someone could've gotten him in don't you think Martin would've tried?

Iirc Pearl could never get West cleared to play?

Forgot about West. I'm more than sure you're right in that one. Besides, a cover up with NCAA investigators all around wouldn't have happened.

I love the people who want to bring Pearl back, they are the very ones who would be jumping up and down calling him liar and cheater and everything in between if Kentucky or Memphis were doing it.Get over it, Pearl isn't coming back nor should he be allowed too.

The guy got busted for lying about a BBQ, are you kidding me? I guess you never lie. At this point, I don't care what the coach does as long as he could win a lot

That's great. Tell your kids that. Tell them you only care about them winning, and you don't care how they do it. Very smart.

You can stand on your side of the fence if you want, but I promise you that most TN fans would trade their basketball program with KY in a heart beat. You are in the minority.

The program and the coach are two different things. I wouldn't ever want Cal, because I couldn't celebrate winning, knowing it was being done dishonestly. This isn't a moral standards platform speech. Its just my opinion. And yes, I realize many, if not most coaches bend the rules. They just haven't been busted numerous times.

Most KY fans said the same thing before they hired Cal. Most of their opinions have changed since then.

Well yeah. Human nature says you hate em when their not yours. I live in Kentucky and married into a UK family. Trust me, I know. They all love him now, and most have told me they don't care if he is cheating, so long as he's winning. I just can't get onboard with that train of thought. It's why I didn't care for Kiffin as our coach in football either. There are just some people you find it troubling to get behind.

You're right though, I'm likely in the minority, and most Tennessee fans would likely love it and support him if he were hired. I think that's an indictment of our society and our "win at all cost" mentality, rather than a tribute to our forgiving spirit. Same holds true in Big Blue Country too.

CCM may not go that route of getting a academic border line kid in.

Pearl did get West in school. Gave him a scholly, but then West was pegged by the NCAA afterwards saying that he was academically ineligible to play. The NCAA removed West from the roster Oct. of that year. I'm sure Pearl knew where West was academically before the NCAA removed him from the team.

You think? It would be interesting to take a poll of UT fans that would take Pearl back. I think you might be a bit surprised of the results.

True, the current Pearl following knows no bounds amongst fans, alumni, and boosters.

I was part of a performance in the 2011 Outlive fundraiser. Black tie event with boosters and alumni. This was in April or May, so shortly after he was fired, but before the school year was over. In the middle of the show, he took a few minutes to say some things about the Outlive program (very nice speech, btw), and there were several donors from the audience saying things like "Come back, Bruce!" and "We need you here!"

I was pretty surprised at this at first, but it just goes to show you how sensitive of an issue this is.

It doesn't matter if 98% of the fanbase would take him back. It's never happening. The process of hiring a coach isn't democratic. There's only one opinion that matters.

I cant believe some of you actually think that this clown is a good coach lol Are you that blind? I really am starting to think that most of our fanbase likes being the laughing stock of the SEC. They are happy with underachieving, uninspiring teams. Think about it.

You seem like you're all knowing regarding how to run the AD, much less the basketball team. Go tell Hart that you'd like to take over his and/or Cuonzo's job.
