Just got a text from ESPN "Votto still experiencing discomfort"
haha the clueless idiots must want to lose more games.lol. i really think this coaching staff is even worse than bob boone's that is saying a lot. oh well its football season anyway. did anybody see the votto interview with jim day, i think it was like 2 or 3 days ago. i hope he never comes back. hard to like a guy like that.
broxton shipped to the brewers. go vols.
haha AV though says we are going to be just fine.lol. at least we have chili
Bengals and Skyline time. lol.
I am reading that they are going to do everything they can to sign Cueto. They are going to keep Simon as a starter plus Bailey. That means Latos and Leake are likely to be trade bait . I thought it was telling they had them on the waiver wire. Must have received the feedback they wanted for off season trades. So that means Cingrani back as a starter and one other from the farm whether it is Stephenson (too soon) or somebody else - unless they only move one of Latos/Leake.
Hope they get a strong bat, because they are already beating the drum for Votto's triumphant return to glory. Negron will definitely be on the active as will Pena. So, in essence they are standing pat with the exception of what they get to shore things up by trading Latos and/or Leake.
Surprised? Didn't think so. Walt will be back. Same old same old.
i won't watch baseball next year.
I only watch it when it is this bad because I get bored in the summer. Used to go to the local Cubs affiliate AA games instead, but when the grandson came along we have been sitting with him while the daughter/son-in-law work until he gets old enough to take.
This club has a great shot to break the MLB record for most 1 run losses in a season. I think I read it is 44 games and I think our guys are at around 38. 14th shut out last night. Nah, sit pat Walter. All will be fine. lol.
Amazing how all the stats guys and trolls disappear when the are proved wrong. lol.
yep that 260 with 6 homers sure would have won us at least 30 more games. lol. reds fans knew or should have known we were doomed from the start this year. what we didn't know was price is the worst manager in baseball.
They don't pay attention to what actually happens. They look a box scores and stats data. Even some key stats they don't look at - like how many losses by one run did they have in the games that Votto started? They never talk about his RISP w/2 outs, his incompetency on the base paths, his mediocre to lousy D, etc. The only guy on the team that will have a long conversation with him is Bruce, and we see how that worked out as he challenges the Mendoza line.
It was Price and his coaching staff that tanked the season worse than it should have been. Third base coach Smith leads MLB by a ton with 25 runners being thrown out at home this season. But Price stands by his guy - a coach that had been out of baseball for 3 years. 125+ different starting line-ups. Batting a .215 hitter clean-up much of the season, with over half of his AB's being SO's or pop ups. Using Hoover and Ondrusek over and over while losing games. And they will be DOA next season for the same reason that both Jock and Price will be back.
Like how he bats .334/.477/.578!slash line for his career with RISP? You mean the fact he played 162 games last year? Please. You guys look for a scapegoat and use him because it's easy and controversial. Poor dude plays 62 games on a bum knee and you blame him for the season.
This is more to champy than you. Your manager does seem bad in games I've watched. You guys had a bad year, but you've won the division two out of four years and playoffs three out of four. Your management team is solid. You aren't the Padres.
