Da Reds thread

I agree guys - Frazier needs Bruce's money when he's gone. They've got 2.5 years of control over him left. I would be signing him through 2020-21. He's 29 and the vocal leader of the team now.

When they hit HR's they win more. When they don't they lose most all the time. It's the RISP. Yesterday was good. Most of the time it is awful. They win so many of their games with a few solo HRs to go with a run or two the normal way.

Jon Moscot is done for the season. Shoulder surgery - such a shame. Glad it was to his non-throwing shoulder.

Crazily, Frazier isn't blowing Votto out of the water offensively thus far, as great as he's been. I really like Frazier.

Think they'll extend him sometime this year?

Leake with another gem. When he keeps it down, hits his spots, and has his fast ball in the 92-93 range he is one tough dude to hit against. Last two games have provided better RISP. Wish it would hang around awhile, at least long enough to get back in the WC race.

Well done, Cards. Since 2012 - Bellicheat is proud of you. Now the Braves trolls will be on here claiming they spied on them and sold the info to the rest of the teams. Braves trolls like to spread their waste around wherever they go.

HR's and Lorenzen. Nice win and took the series. Lorenzen proves he is the real deal once again. Bruce pulls an outside high change over the wall for the game winner.

MLB Trade Rumors has the roster break up occurring after the ASG. Cueto, Leake, Chappy, Bruce, and BP are the primary trade pieces being shopped.

I'd definitely trade BP Chapman and Cueto.

We are so in your head, and we ain't paying rent either.

I agree, z. It sounds like that may be a real possibility with Cueto soon, or else they are still concerned he has an arm issue. Was set to pitch tomorrow's opener against the Pirates and they postponed the start until Friday against the Mets. Calling a young one up from the farm to start instead. His agent says no arm issues. Walt PO'd Leake before the season started by not offering him, so I would say he will be gone unless they kiss and make up. If you watched Bruce every day you might want him gone as well. He has few backers left around Cincy.

John Fay of the CE thinks Bob C is holding them off from rebuilding because he still believes they can make a run this season. Will see how it goes. But it's time for a boom as far as I am concerned. This bunch falls apart on the road and there are simply too many guys out to sustain a run IMO.

Lol... I click on this thread for the first time ever to see if there's any Pete Rose talk and I find this gem. Clearly, Ive missed some fun.

Not much fun, just a lot of cleaning up.

The Cincy blogs are not up in arms in defense of Pete. It's all about 'what does it matter with all of the PEDS guys getting to play and some going into the hall. He didn't bet against his team' stuff. He's out as far as I am concerned. He chose to violate the rules.

All of us older folks that lived up there during the day knew what he was doing. There was an Italian restaurant in Cincy that housed a bookie operation he and most of the bigger gamblers used. The one in Franklin above the former Kinney's Restaurant was the one that the original documents came out on. I've eaten at that restaurant with my parents when he had been there because everybody was talking about it. Great player and great baseball mind. Pitiful ethics.

Keep Frazier, BP, Billy, Pena, the rookie pitchers, maybe Hoover and Parra - all of the rest can go. Fire Price and have Riggleman finish the season. 16 games out in the division and 6.5 down in the WC race. Dead after 72 games.

4 runs in 3 games. All but one run through solo HR's. No for sale sign yet at Jock's office. Hope it's soon.

A new low. Lose 12-1 to the Brewers at home with a sell out crowd watching with the ASG around the corner.

Johnny with an absolute gem against the Nats at their place. He's going to really help a contender.

Get swept at home against the Brewers. Win 5 in a row against the Nats and send Scherzer to the showers in the 5th inning. Go figure.

And down the tubes they go in Miami. The offense is really clicking with 5 runs in 4 games, yet Leake had perhaps his best game in their 1-0 win. So that leaves only the ASG to deal with before the blood letting begins, or should begin.

Walter - trade now, trade often. Then fire Price. Then fire yourself.
