Now THAT is a rotation. Wow.

Aquino brought up from the Bats and will play RF tonight. Looks like he has been raking this season at Louisville. Have you seen him play?

No. I saw Chattanooga 3 times but I'm going up to Louisville on the 16th to see the Bats than heading to Cincy for the games against the Cards Saturday and Sunday if it doesn't rain. I know he, O'Grady, and VanMeter were punishing the ball down there.

So here are the suspensions for the brawl against the Pirates:

Keone Kela - 10 games
Amir Garrett - 8 games
Jose Osuna - 5 games
Jared Hughes - 3 games
Kyle Crick - 3 games
Yasiel Puig - 3 games
David Bell - 6 games
Clint Hurdle - 2 games (Absolute joke)

Other players who were fined

Trevor Williams
Joey Votto
Phillip Ervin

Nick Lodolo's season is over after hitting his IP limit:

8 starts - 2.45 ERA - 18.1 IP - 18 hits - 7 runs/5 earned - 1 HR - 30 SO & no BB.

He had 6 starts in ROK Billings and 2 for class A Dayton.

Alex Wood looked amazing in his 2nd staqrt tonight going 6.2 with 2 solo home runs. Can't believe they're pulling him with 1 out to go in the 7th.

For anyone wondering Brandon Finnegan has finally returned from the wilderness and is pitching for the Lookouts from the pen. Supposedly he looks good and his early numbers back it up:

5 IP - 2 hits - no runs - 6 Ks vs 1 BB

It would be something if he can get back to the Reds and be that 2nd lefty option out of the pen.

Can't say I'm overly impressed with Bauer's first start. So far he has thrown 75 pitches through 3 innings allowing 3 walks and a run on a wild pitch.

Guys - 9 walks, 1 HBP, and 1 WP. Gave up no hits to the Braves after the 5th inning until the game winner.

Bizarre.

Wandy sure isn't the answer. If its Finnegan, so be it. That looks promising.

Its never over till its over, we're just 5.5 games back in the wildcard hunt. Big 4 games series against the Cubs coming up after the Angels.

This team gets on a roll and they can make the playoffs being in a division no team dominates. Need a good winning streak to get it over .500 and gain some momentum.

Brought O'Grady up from the Bats and put Dietrich on the IL.

DJ likes Gausman, says he can work on him. His fastball and approach need a tune-up.

I'm intrigued by Gausman honestly especially now having DJ. Bell said he'll be pitching out of the pen this year but next year (under control for another year) he could maybe be added to the back end of the rotation. You can't go wrong by adding a pitcher that averages 20 starts and pitches over 100+ innings every year as depth.

100% agree. DJ saying he's got something to work with is all I needed to know. Gausman's had some good seasons and like you say he can go pen or SP.

Did we dodge a bullet or what by not signing Matt Harvey to another year? 7+ ERA and released by LAA earlier after 12 starts. That would have been $11 mill down the drain. lol

Looks like it, I appreciate what Harvey was able to do here but it was obvious he wanted to be in a big market. On another note we better enjoy Castillo while we can, he is going to command a hefty contract that I don't see us paying when he comes up for free agency. Went 7 innings while giving up 3 hits and 2 runs and 13 Ks.
