I understand. She's still in a supportive role for the Lady Vols program, making appearances and attending games. Only she and Tyler know to what degree the disease is limiting her. I went through it with my Mom and you can't fool the kids. Fortunately, my Mom was 92 when diagnosed.

Very interesting indeed.........Nike claims they have nothing to do with the change and Uncle Dave says they do..........lets see the emails and see who is telling the truth.

Wouldn't it benefit Nike to slap a little blue trim and the word lady on some souvenirs and sell them to the people not buying the real stuff?

great coaches win championships,, he hasn't even hired a decent coach yet, imho

plus, he has poisoned the well of goodwill that surrounded all of women sports in Knoxville. He let power go to his little head! :(

he backed into hiring Jones,which was a good thing,his vetting process seems to be slack at best,as in the Tyndall hire

why Nike doesn't want to sell Lady Vol gear,I have no idea,I'm sure Hart didn't see the backlash coming from that either or doesn't care,which seems to be how he operates

He must have had some clue of a potential backlash because his first step was to describe this fictional survey conducted with the female athletic teams-that is he must have believed that most fans would think it reasonable to at least ask the women's teams their feelings on the issue. But, he really didn't want to know what their feelings might be and he felt it would be better to lie about it.

I guess Nike is too busy making sure that Oregon has a different jersey for every game they play to make some UT womens apparel. At least they are letting us keep the Vols nickname and the color orange for now.
