Biden is unfit in terms if mental acuity, Trump is unfit in terms of character and competence. This just reinforces that.

Hope the Dems convince Biden to step aside.

Was it really that hard for Trump to win the debate. Biden doesn’t have one positive thing to fall back on from the last three years. All Trump had to do was point out the world is burning because of him.

Seems like the sentiment for him to do so is pretty overwhelming. Maybe he'll come to grips with it.

That's just not accurate. But in terms of appearance it would look to the uninformed like yourself to be that way.

It’s got to happen. But if Republicans didn’t do that to Trump… will Dems do anything but follow suit?

I blame left wing media more than him. If they had been reporting honestly about this before tonight, we wouldn’t have made it here.

Instead we get “cheap fakes” and “his age is his super power”

He’s old senile and stubborn plus his handlers aren’t giving up that easily. Not saying it can’t happen, but not as easily as the Dems would like.

I 100% agree but I also already see the “he just had a cold” narrative forming. Along with “all trump did was lie!”.

They may just cancel the next debate because “he lies too much” and blame this on a cold

As much as I think they should force him to step aside, I also can’t see him actually being replaced.

I honestly don't know, there are no good options on how to proceed. If there is a brokered convention kind of deal, I think it would further fracture the party to the point of no repair.

I don't like to be reactionary, but the Presidency might have been lost tonight, no matter what happens next.

To appear fair, the 25th Amendment will need to be used in this situation. At this point, they have to agree that Trump will win the election if the president is still on the ticket after the DNC. Trump didn't answer questions directly, other than a few opportunities and then went off subject multiple times. Performing like this against a qualified candidate that can form coherent responses has to be a concern, if the dems pull the switch.
