The defense attorney kinda sucks though. I imagine Chauvlin is paying A LOT of money and he's gotta be disappointed with the results

I believe they are depending on reasonable doubt, for which I believe there is a good factual case but I think in this instance they aren't "reading the room", there is a lot of emotion wrapped in this case and that could overwhelm the reasonable doubt they seem to be counting on.

Either that or the defense team does suck.
