LOL you are ridiculous, the officer clearly meant to tase him by her words and actions, especially after when she was in shock for her mistake...she deserves the punishment she got, but no officer that day involved said "lets pull over this car, hope it's a black guy and kill him".So kill that black man.... that'll learn 'em. Claim weapon choice error. That will get me off. Everyone Knows many prosecutors ignore bad deeds of rogue cops
If the mistaken weapon had been the only issue, I'd agree. However, that completely ignores the fact that even tazing Wright was insanely stupid. You don't taze someone that just got behind the wheel and put a vehicle in gear. Potter created a risk for everyone else on the roadway, and it's no small blessing that Wright was the only person injured.
Did all of that happen because Wright was black? I don't know. Either way, it doesn't make the situation any more or less tragic. What I do know is that this is now the second glaring instance of complete negligence on the part of that same police force. Both situations highlighted how poorly trained these heavily armed individuals are. And whether race drove any of the decision-making, it's impossible to ignore that both situations resulted in dead black men.
It is an attempt to ground the ridiculousness of this circus. Probably in the millions of dollars being spent to crucify a white cop mostly based on the fact that he IS white, meanwhile well over a hundred and twenty black men have been killed by other black men in Chicago alone and nothing more than a shake of the head. from you or the press or the so called government. Yeah. it IS relevant because this trial is a joke. How so?
Are you saying Chauvin shouldn't be tried at all?It is an attempt to ground the ridiculousness of this circus. I am only passively watching via this thread.Insufficiency of evidence. Our resident lawyers might correct me, but I'd wager that at least 2/3 of all criminal trials feature a motion for acquittal at the close of the prosecution's case-in-chief.

Does the motion for acquittal mean the prosecutors are wrapped up on their case and now the defense presents its case?
You anticipate the defense resting soon? The prosecution already rested. The defense has already put on witnesses (their "use of force" expert was an abject disaster). It's a little strange to me that they made the motion for acquittal during their case rather than immediately following the State resting, but I don't guess it matters because it would have been denied either way.
Again, not a lawyer but I think once you motion for a dismissal you can no longer introduce evidence or witnesses?
Not sure if it is the same for motion to acquit.

You need to see a therapist and/or get your meds upped
Nope. What I am saying is that all the BLM stuff is complete nonsense and nothing but divisive racist noise. 120 black people have died at the hands of other black people in one city alone. I don't have the statistics on black men killed by white cops, but I would bet it pales in comparison. Yet THIS... "trial" is what is going to burn the country to the ground. It's a kangaroo court. Black lives don't even matter to other black people. It's a farce and a LIE. 4 large homes by the organizer proves that fact. I pity anyone that has contributed to that sham. No... I laugh at them for being suckers. Are you saying Chauvin shouldn't be tried at all?
You originally said ‘Nope.’ I’m assuming you added the rest because you realize how backwards it looked, though your additions haven’t helped much.Nope. Chauvin should be tried, but it should be on page last of the newspaper instead of continuous video coverage.
50 white people have been killed by cops. 30 black people have been killed by cops (YTD). 120 black people have been killed by other black people in Chicago alone. Yeah. racist cops are the problem and the trial of a death that has yet to be linked to racism should be broadcast 24/7 and on the forefront of the conversation. You originally said ‘Nope.’ I’m assuming you added the rest because you realize how backwards it looked, though your additions haven’t helped much.
If it makes you feel better, I don’t think cops should get away with murdering white people, either.50 white people have been killed by cops. 30 black people have been killed by cops (YTD). 120 black people have been killed by other black people in Chicago alone.
