Derek Chauvin trial

The store clerk, 19 year old kid, took the stand. He said he blames himself because if he had not have accepted the counterfeit bill, if he had just checked and declined it, he believes it would not have resulted in the death of George Floyd at the hands of the police officer

tragic. feel bad for a kid like that. It is not his fault

Agreed, are people ignoring the toxicology? How can he blame himself when Floyd was in the downward spiral of self destruction and addiction. Whether you believe the officer sped up his death or not the irrefutable fact is that the amount of drugs Floyd took was fatal.

I think thats at least refutable but ok

Over 3 times what is considered a lethal dose? Even taking into consideration that number is variable you don't survive at almost 4 times the lethal dose.

So if the police don't come at all that fateful day, May 25th 2020, George Floyd just collapses and dies right there in the street on his own. thats what you think?

Regardless of whatever else comes from this people (and I don't just mean a few people, I mean everybody that knows him and a bunch of people that don't) need to convince that kid this is not his burden to bear.

Weird how both autopsy's said it was a homicide and not the fentanyl that killed him.

If only you guys were medical examiners and lawyers, Chauvin would be at home in the embrace of his loving family.

When does this ever come back to George Floyd’s poor life choices..... he tried to steal from a store...... he took enough drugs to kill a horse..... he fought the cops and wouldn’t let them put him in the cruiser.

I'd say the man is dead so obviously the life choices came back to bite him. But my question wasn't answered yet

I wonder how many people are preparing for a “peaceful demonstration” after this trial is over?

Imo if physical exertion helped contribute to his death then the cop is innocent.... if Floyd would be alive if he didn’t take the drugs then the cop is innocent.... if the cop strangled/suffocated Floyd then he is guilty..... seems pretty simple to me.

Homocide in this instance does not mean what you are claiming it means.

I know where you're going (again) and disagree. If I'm a betting a man, I'd be going all in on Chauvin being convicted of at least manslaughter.

You can place your bets how you see fit, I'm not interested in splitting hairs over the coroners usage of the term "homicide."

he swallowed the drugs when he saw the police walking down the street, Is that his fault or the police's fault?

Poor life choices don't compress a larynx.

If during this trial.... with examination and cross examination..... that is proven then I agree he is guilty.

I mean two medical experts have testified to it professionally. Not sure why they'd reverse their findings now.

I have already stated I feel he will be convicted of manslaughter but will wait on actual evidence....
