Derek Chauvin trial

you have no idea what the jurors thought beyond what they heard from the Prosecutor and the Defense’s inability to create reasonable doubt

In any event an unarmed black person should be able to go and about without getting killed by a rogue cop.

And peaceful black protesters In Lafayette Square should not have their Constitutional rights violated (illegally) by AG Bill Barr ordering Federal militia to tear gas them and shoot them with rubber bullets toclear a path for Dotard to make a photo op March to a church

So should white people, cops kill them at almost a 2-1 margin.

ah, okay so 1 lady in the world.... maybe..

seems like a reasoned argument you have :)
Considering it's the one lady who threatened violence as a Congresswoman its seems incredibly relevant. Wouldnt make sense if I was calling out AOC when Maxine is the subject matter.

She's more than just some lady. She wields great power.

Idk.. I think most people think she's a joke but he acted like Trump was gonna get impeached for his racist comment about the Latino judge, because Waters (might) have called for it?? Which is absurd

considering he actually got impeached twice makes it not absurd

As any data scientist will note, comparing how many or how often white people are killed by police to how many or how often black people are killed by the police is meaningless, unless you have adjusted for their comparable percentages of the overall population.

According to the most recent census data, there are nearly 160 million more white people in America than there are black people. White people make up roughly 62 percent of the U.S. population but only about 49 percent of those who are killed by police officers. African-Americans, however, account for 24 percent of those fatally shot and killed by the police despite being just 13 percent of the U.S. population. That means that black Americans are 2.5 times as likely as white Americans to be shot and killed by police officers.

Also, there is this nugget from www.statista.com:

U.S. police officers have shot and killed the exact number of unarmed white people as they have unarmed black people since the beginning of 2019: 50 each.

But because the white population is approximately five times larger than the black population, that means unarmed black Americans were five times as likely to be shot and killed by police officers as unarmed white Americans.

Actual deaths are the relevant stat here. Not the likely rates.

The bolded above is BS.... you need to look at the number of violent crimes committed by blacks vs whites too..... more encounters with the cops means more chances of getting shot.

BB starting the White Lives Don't Matter movement. Way to take the initiative.

Statistical relevancy depends completely on what data is being assessed and evaluated. If you are making a risk assessment evaluation, the statistics reveal that an unarmed black man is five times more likely to be shot and killed by a law enforcement officer in the United States, than an unarmed white man is.

In other words, blacks don’t cooperate with LE at a much higher rate.

No, sorry. That was a poorly constructed question. I was talking about questioning the results and/or tactics in a case that is put to bed. I didn’t know if it is considered bad form to speak ill of the jury’s decision, the judge, either attorney’s strategy, and so on, especially in a state where you don’t know all the ins and outs.
Definitely not. I just have an idea of how much I don’t know about this case and what it’s like to plan and prepare for a murder trial.

Yeah... If only Botham Jean (a black man) of Dallas, Texas had cooperated with Dallas Police Department patrol officer Amber Guyger (a white woman) on the night of September 6th, 2018 after she illegally entered his apartment and shot him to death while he was standing (unarmed) in his kitchen and minding his own damn business... maybe he would still be alive?

LOL! Nah... that was one black guy who never had a chance.

I know how long it takes me to put an insurance proposal together for a client. To do it right takes time. I can’t imagine the time it would take to prepare for a murder trial.

Yes that one case is definitely the normal one right? 🙄

May be but they aren’t getting killed at 5x the rate. That’s what matters. The whole narrative surrounding this needs to stop.

Cherry picked data to push a false narrative. The liberal playbook in plain sight.

I'm not claiming I know what was in the jurors mind. Just that the judge made poor decisions in regards to this case. Putting a juror who may not have felt Chauvin was guilty based on evidence in a position where he or she may have felt they could not give a verdict without fear of being doxxed and targeted. That was my argument and got blew it off as no big deal. I'd argue whether or not you agree with the decision that is a big deal, you can't have justice without a jury that can celebrate without fear.

I'd agree that an unarmed man should be able to resist arrest without being killed in almost all but the most violent scenarios. Chauvin did not act reasonably under the circumstances with an unreasonable Floyd. Floyd died as a result. I do not care for Chauvin or his actions.

Violent riots were allowed to go unfettered for months. While I don't agree with violating civil rights of anyone. Many more people's rights were violated by violent protestors during this time but your outrage was absent then.

The Democrat party thought she was such a joke they gave her a prestigious chair. That's not something they give to people they think are jokes.
