I have never understood how some can invest emotion and energy "hating" teams we play every year only to suddenly be for them in a bowl because we play them every year (or every other year) in the conference.

The way I see it is if it is bad for a team we need to beat on an annual basis they it is good for us.

Glad Free Shoes won.

Negative, ghost rider.

I never pull for SEC teams to win. Why would I? They directly compete with us for titles and recruits. I can see no reason to cheer someone else on to be better than us in our own conference.

I live in tally so I was all FSU. I don't understand the SEC pride, and I despise Auburn and it's fans.

Auburn was a bigger rival to us than Florida

They program history is a tainted with cheating as much or more than Bama

Yep--the only SEC team I can't pull for in a NC game is Bama, unless they play ND. Then I even pulled for the Tide.

I can never pull for Alabama but I can Auburn. Of the two teams I personally feel the best team that night did not win.

I wanted Auburn to win so Bama fans would suffer all year long. Live down here and you'd understand.

Hell No...I'm a VOLS fan, not an SEC fan...F everyone else in the SEC...

On a side note...I will root for Ole Miss some bc my best friends daughter is a student/athlete on a Full Ride in track/cross country there...so I will pull for them occasionally...

she wanted to go to UT, but the track coach recruited her, set up a meeting to meet with Them, parents and daughter, and when they went up there, he missed the meeting and didn't give a reason...sort of ****ty of him...she won two or three state titles in track and cross country in TN highest division and TN can't even offer but every other SEC school did plus Louisville, Wake Forrest and countless others...

Sure did. I'm a Tennessee fan and an SEC fan. There are people who say they aren't an SEC fan but those people are definitely in the minority. Could you not hear the Auburn crowd yelling SEC SEC SEC?

The logic-based answer is yes. I must recognize the fact that the SEC continuing to be respected as the dominant conference in CFB will help Tennessee in the long run in many ways.

The purely emotional answer is hell no. I'm a Tennessee fan, not an SEC fan -- and definitely not an Auburn fan. They "stole" one "our" recruits and I'm angry (even though, logically, I know that had nothing to do with them winning or losing the NC). I bleed orange, not rainbow.

Having acknowledged all of that, I half-heartedly pulled against FSU and wasn't the least bit upset that Auburn lost.

I was back and forth on it all evening. I wanted FSU to beat those cheating Tigers, but realized that FSU pulls some of our recruits as well. If they both could have lost, would have been perfect. As far as the pulling recruits, we've got to do a better job of winning and they will come to us as well.

Well as far as i was concerned anything that upsets a bama fan is a win in my book. So I wanted Auburn to win but I didn't lose sleep over it. I also believe 8 strait makes the league look good and going 0-2 in BCS bowls this year made us look bad.
