Did you pull for Auburn?

Not at all. Only one team I am interested in. Obviously it is Tennessee. I like football so I watched the game but totally indifferent to the winner. However nothing in me wanted the "SEC" to win. F every team in our conference except the Vols. Go Big Orange.

I pulled for Auburn because it makes the bammers mad. When you live in bammerland, you enjoy anything that gets their goat.

I was very conflicted last night watching the NC game. On one hand, I wanted the SEC to win the 8th straight NC bc this is the best conference by far, on the other hand, anything that hurts Auburn has to help the Vols some. We both go after many of the same recruits and anyway, those War Eagle people are already hard to stand. They would have been intolerable with a win. If FSU was in the SEC - they would have lost 2-3 games.

Given the opportunity, FSU would try to poach our recruits in the same way Auburn would. Though I watched, it really didn't matter to me either way who won. Usually pull for SEC, but Auburn going after Lambert ruined that. I might be a little happy for Jalen Ramsey and any other instate player FSU has, and also former Vols Randy Sanders, and Jay Graham. Otherwise, didn't lose a wink of sleep about it. Just hope Team 118 was watching, and believing they can be in the mix next season.

Now had either team been playing anyone from the BIG10 or PAC12, I would have backed FSU or Auburn. Reason being is several years ago when the possibility of a championship game was discussed, the fans of those two conferences claimed that whoever won the Rose Bowl deserved to be national champion. Arrogant jerks, IMO.

No-No-No, If the barn was playing Russia I would be for Russia! The only good thing that ever came out of that state is I-20 East!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't read but a couple of pages of replies, so this may be redundant. However, I urge everyone on this board to stop buying into this "SEC prde" myth that has been floated around for the last several years. It is complete and udder B.S.
Let me ask, do you think Clem's son feels better because now that ass whipping they took from the 'Noles earlier in the season, all of a sudden "they got beat by the eventual National Champs? NO.
Do you feel better about our beloved Big Orange 'cause we've lost to all of the previous 7 NC winners, I sure as hell do not.
Has the SEC teams (other than us) winning the titles, helped our cause any? NO. And don't go crying about the money that is shared among the conference teams, as far as I'm concerned, it's blood money!
We have LOST more games in the last half decade than anyone on here can remember when compared from the previous 25, mainly in the name of recruits.
Why on earth anyone would want their opponet to have more bullets going into a fight baffles me, but when you pull for one of our rivals, that's exactly what you are doing. Because when they win, what do think the coaches out on the recruitng trail are saying...
Maybe it's the feeling that everyone thinks somehow if so and so wins, that'll justify our crappy team, B.S.
Go talk to people outside our conference, they know we are in the lower half, and have been, we aren't nearly as significant as we'd like to think (and that's including our glorious history)
I guarantee-damn-tee you that if these other ******* teams weren't wnning, they wouldn't be pulling for us...FLA, nah, GA, nah, the Gumps, hardly, they still hate us from kicking their asses a decade ago.
I IMPLORE all of Volnation, to stop this dumbass practice from here on out, it won't help the Mighty Vols in the only arena that counts, and that's on the field. It's a freaking fight every day from the practice field, weight room, recruiting battles, and ultimately on gameday, if you want to go stand with our SEC betheren, GTFO. I say, if you're not with us, your against us. Cheering for our rivals proves you're not with us!

I pulled for AU. There would have been a nice set of bookends (FSU losses) around the BCS era.
Regarding the recruits AU took from us, we just need to take care business from here on out.

Yes I had to as I picked them to win my football pool. A$$holes cost me $250 cause they can't kick a field goal or stop a kick return! What I get for pulling for their sorry A$$!

Yes, yes I most certainly did. My number 2 teams happens to also be in the SEC. Is it a sin? maybe...

I wouldn't pull for Auburn if they were playing Ohio St. And I really hate Ohio State.:pilot::yuck:

What's wrong with pulling for several SEC teams simply because I'm more used to them, I enjoy their style, they help us out sometimes and I don't care about football outside of the SEC?

I dontc care about watching Ohio St vs Michigan or Stanford vs UCLA. I wanna watch SEC football.

I pulled for auburn. Every time Auburn wins it hurts Alabama and their fans as much as if al had lost the game themselves. And I wanted the SEC streak to continue.
