Didn't buy one or sign up for dtv. As a matter of fact didn't even ask him about secn network he told us it would be available on the launch date and that an announcement would be made by first of August. TIFWIW and buy the way he worked for dtv

Its being reported Charter is finalizing their deal with SEC Network DirecTV is more than likely next.

There are plenty of channels I don't watch with Direct TV: Oxygen, Lifetime, etc. They didn't seem too worried making me pay for those channels that I don't watch. Needless to say the SEC network would make them tons of money in comparison to those aforementioned channels

Just my personal opinion, but I think Directv will have it by launch time. TIFWIW, but I talked to a lady in Directv Retention last week and she told me ( twice ) that Directv would have it but it would probably wouldn't be announced until the week of the launch. Again, her words, not mine. Seemed legit. :)

If DTV gets their act together, and gets the deal done by the launch date, that will give the new SEC Network 85 million subscribers, that's 10 million more than their goal. The SEC is about to get really rich.

I saw on another board someone posted today he was told by a DirecTV rep its going to be on the choice package and above and an announcement would be made August 7th. tifwiw

DirecTV reportedly close to picking up SEC Network | Awful Announcing

Says they will have in place by August 14th along with the WatchESPN app.

White said DirecTV has agreed on rates to carry SEC Network and he’s optimistic that it will have it in time for the August 14 launch. As with other providers, it appears the deal to carry SEC Network will be part of a comprehensive deal with Disney that could also bring Longhorn Network to DirecTV’s Sports Pack as well as WatchESPN and WatchABC, two online services which subscribers have been yearning for.

Very interesting that this is coming from the Directv camp, and when asked the ESPN folks have no comment. Maybe, all spin by the folks at Directv to appease their current customers.

why? the channel won't even launch for 2 more weeks, and games are at the end of the month... you in a hurry to watch Greg McElroy and Tim Tebow espouse trash about UF and UA...

I'm more concerned about having the SEC N the last weekend of August...not now.
