All I can say is that if derek dooley is retained, the university of Tennessees football program and athletic administration is an absolute joke. Will still bleed orange though.

Wonder if Hart has a history with the mafia. You know, hug him and kiss him on the forehead, right before he signals for Gruden to wire strangle him

eh. He is a lawyer. We had to figure he would be stubborn and try to make his case to stay. I think he would quit if he was not getting 5 mil. Why is 5 mil being paid for this body of work? The University should have insulated itself against this when they hired a coach with a losing record

Per Erik Ainge: Dooley won't be officially fired until Hart has his replacement signed to contract. That is still being processed. When that happens Dooley will be fired and the new coach will be announced. Ainge says Hart doesn't want what happened on the last two hires where the coach left before we had the new coach signed. As a result the first replacement choices backed out and we were left with not so desirable choices (Kiffen and Dooley).

The fact that Hart told CDD that he "had not made a decision" is all I really need at this point. I promise you if Hart was going to retain him for next season he wouldn't have said this. I agree with what's been stated on here numerous times...the decision was made after the MSU game and Hart's getting his ducks in a row before making any thing official. "Not a matter of if, but when".

If Dooley isn't getting fired after the Mizou loss, then Hart is just actively trying to destroy the program. Either way, a Vandy loss won't change things.

I hate Vanderbilt. They're one of our oldest rivals and it would sicken me to lose to them. I don't care if Hitler is coaching our team this weekend. I want them to beat the s%$# out of Vandy.

Dooley is a deer in the headlights. You can see it in his eyes and hear it in his voice. I think He genuinely knows he is gone.
Nothing against the guy and I don't wish I'll will on him. He is a nice man, just not a good football coach and definitely can't handle the pressure of the media. He hasn't got the job done and needs to be replaced. Period.

Another thing Erik mentioned: The new coach could very well be hired, but doesn't want it announced until the end of the season for the sake of his school.

This is the reason you should never hire a lawyer. Because, they ain't leaving until they got all yo money.

LOL, it may turn out that Dooley gets it together beats Vandy and Kentucky wins a Bowl game against some also ran and returns next season. I think regardless he want be coming back with the defensive coaches we have now. Certainly another loss seals the deal evidently Hart thinks Missouri is a pretty good team.

admit it, you want dooley to stay.

I just want a decision so we can focus on recruiting and be fair to the kids on our team....

Sure I would like to see Dooley be successful........I pull for everyone but I think that makes me, me!!

Leaving this program in limbo is too hard on the ones really close to it....forget about the fans!!
