He didn't like the hire,he didn't say he was no longer going to pull for the Vols. It's OK to disagree on a message board,and what any of us say will not have any affect on how this team performs.

The guy is motivated and is ready for this. I mean the guy learned from Saban, plus has a little NFL experience, and ppl are forgetting the fact the guy landed 2 top 3 recruiting classes at LSU. Plus he actually WANTS to be here... Give Dooley a chance.. Bet Kiffin couldnt win 17 games in three seasons at LA Tech.....

Well he could have been a little more tasteful and tactful in his title (Dooley Sucks) what's up with that? Sorry just my opinion but the OP is way over the top.

they only had 4 home games last year won those... players got hurt an lost alot of late season away games but if you ACTUALLY look at the team stats there they improved in every facet of the game each year under him i know the record doesnt impress but you have to think of how hard it is to recruit at a place like La tech... i think he is goin to do a good job just give him a chance...

Seriously, can nobody make an educated decision on what to believe? Too many "diehard fans" take 17 - 20 and ESPN's slanted opinions and act like experts. It's about time we got somebody with a little energy (which, by the way, Kiffin was in extremely short supply of for a man of his age) and depth of character and go with it. GO VOLS

I just watched is press conference Q and A session, and Dooley impressed me a helluva lot more than Shula did. He's young, but has the tools, and the southern charm with respect to recruiting. UT will be okay with this guy.

Hope springs eternal people. Last year Lane was the new savior (or his dad was anyway). He was the "Great man" who was going to lead us back to the Promised Land, halleluiah. I like what I read about DD so far and he is a good speaker. In the end though it’s the spirit, the grit, the determination and the loyalty of VOL Nation that makes Tennessee great. We want good coaches and we dam well need them, but it’s the fans that makes the VOLS great. So it’s just a matter of time people, NO MATTER WHAT, before we are back on top again.

there is no sain bluechip out there would turn down a well known coach for this guy and you all will see, we will be back in this darn forum when the powers that be says ENOUGH...sayin the same ole crap yada, yada, yada...BASELINE is no recruiting, no talent, no matter how good the coach or staff is, you are only as good as the talent on the team. This guy has no chance in recruiting in this conference, and you all know it, but having a positive attitude makes you feel better then sleep well. In this league you better have talent ACROSS the board or loose, just ask KY, or Vanderbilt, etc...People Football is an ever evolving game and if you are not on top of the game then you will suck hind tit...
As I have always said, take down my handle and give me crap if I am wrong...I am a man I can take it, and will be glad to eat crow...but if you think we will have a great team....then go ahead prepare a list for us all to sign for Mike's resignation...trust me...you will need it...this is a band aid hire and the proof is in the puddin...

If this is the best Mike Hamilton can do, then are you all just gonna post CRAP, like my CRAP...and do nothing about it, you better bet your bottom dollar I will be calling the university and I have a sneaking suspicion, I will not be alone...

Why don't you go ahead and slit your wrist volvahator, the guy has only been on the job for 2 days an already we are 3 and 9, you are a clown. The guy has deep SEC roots, was good enough of a recruiter to help LSU win a NC and still he's a stiff? Drugs are bad you know.
