Well as a Tech fan I hate to lose to lose Doely. Our schedule was much better last year

As a LSU fan yeah I hope we beat TENN when we play them but for the large part I am not as concerned about SEC EAST teams as I am the WEST. THe main SEC team EAST team I am worried about is Florida since we shall be paired with them forever each year.

IN the end a strong SEC product is important to all of us. The fact that SEC is strong is one reason we are all getting that nice 15 million dollar check right off the top from the TV vontract. If Tenn sucks well that effects the future of SEC on many fronts.

Again just giving a viewpoint. No one in Ruston was thrilled to see Dooley leave which means something.

I ma thrilled that Lane Kiffin and his drama his gone. The SEC has worked hard of cleaning up the mess and making sure that done of go on porbation again. That is helpful to us all.

Again Dooley is a good hire. But if you don't think so no skin off my nose.

Hawkins did not build Boise St, Peterson was the OC there under Hawkins. After Hawkins left to CU he has struggled, while Peterson has surpassed the records left behind from Hawkins at Boise.

The LT being in the SE is why they struggle is nothing but BS and an excuse you're telling yourself to support this new hire.

Urban Meyer at Bowling Green recruited well and had a winning record. He had to recruit against the SEC and Big 10 as well as Big East.

Louisville was a carpet mat until Petrino took over and he proved he could recruit and coach.

Brian Kelly proved he could coach and recruit for the Bearcats.

If I could predict the future, I'd make a fortune in arbtrage

That withstanding, Hamilton should be able to spend the money and leverage UT's history, tradition, and facilities and get a home run caoch

put someone in Orange, that's a proven winner, and make Tennessee relevant in the SEC and on the National stage

You need to clean your cobwebs out of your head.

Dooly had the choice to follow Saban to ala. but chose another path gaining valuable experience as a head coach of La Tech. Tech is not a Sec-type football program with the facilities. Tech scrouges for any loose change the state of LA. would give them for the athletic program.

Tech football has beaten SEC teams in the past like Miss St last year on ESPN, and Ala at Ala during Homecoming. Produced players like Willie Roaf, Ryan Moats, Scobee, Rattay, McCown, Bradshaw and others.

Dooley is a solid choice as UT football coach. He has head coaching experience, big time recruiter, and experience under Saban. If he followed Saban to ala. he would have been a star asst. coach and you would be excited of the hire.

Give Dooley a chance to hire a staff, recruit talent, and get his feet wet as a VolNation leader before jumping to all your negative feelings.

Give the man a chance, i think he may be in over his head, and that it is going to be hard, but let's give him a chance, he better beat vandy and ky or he will be in hot water, let's see how recuiting turns out and how this upcoming season ends, give him a chance

I think he led La Tech to their first bowl game since like 1975 or something.

Not saying he's perfect, but be patient.

i know more will contiune on this thread, i know we have not gotten the big name coach many wanted including myself, and that we are losing some more commits, and that we have not gotten any after this weekend but be patient give the guy a chance i loved his speech and i bet there is no way he ever embrasses us like kiffin did, GO VOLS
