Cutcliffe didn't reject UT he just wanted too much and we weren't interested in bringing a Duke staff in and have a not so good coach so we kept looking.

All the more reason that it's more important than ever to get a top level coach and spend all the dollars you can spare to do so.

If you think it's a tough job right now, what's it going to look like after Dooley goes 17-20 over the next 3 years?

I wasn't exactly excited when I heard the news either but after I have seen the work this guy has already put in (along with the coaches already in place), I'm quite impressed already. They seemed to have settled the recruiting class and have already brought in new interests from recruits. I'm not saying you have to be crazy about the hire at this point but at the very least, if we are truly diehards, we need to pause and give Dooley a chance to do his thing before we pass judgement. I say Go Vols and Coach welcome aboard!

It brings great joy to my heart knowing so many of you are "sick to your stomach" over the hire.

I hope all of you are miserable for the next several years!

At first all the whining was pissing me off, but now it brings a smile to my face because I know you are so miserable.

It's Hamilton's job to hire proven coaches. If you feel he failed, what else do you need to know?

There are a lot of questions about Dooley. He has a losing record from a crappy conference. There is the Uga angle...is this on-the-job training? A lot of people down in Atlanta think so. Can he recruit when it is his program? What kind of team will we be? Etc, etc.

I don't like the hire. I think we should have gotten someone more experienced. But I hope to hell and back that Dooley makes me eat my words and that he ends up being here for ten years and whips Meyer and Richt and Saban and Miles and everyone else.

Innocent until proven guilty! Until he can have time to recruit and create his own program you can't give a verdict. God himself might not be able to win in the SEC with these players!! Got to give him time before dragging him through the mud.

Teams are supposed to learn from their mistakes, make adjustments, and improve from week to week. We are not improving at all from one game to the next. I know he is playing with lesser talent than Florida and Oregon...but UAB...at home. We looked awful in the sense that those coaches dont have a clue. The game plan was awful, the execution was horrible, the substituting was ridiculous...all things that are signs of poor coaching. Chris Peterson, and Gary Patterson win with lesser talent because they can coach. I havent seen that Dooley has that in him. We looked so inept today I almost turned it off. We need many prayers to the Man above to win 5 games this year.

Are you saying he needs 4 or 5 warm up games before he starts making good coaching decisions braniac? We played far worse today against a MUCH lesser opponent than Florida and Oregon with the same talent on the field as those two games genius. Are you challenged?
