Dooley is a major upgrade from Lane Kiffin. I am one of a growing numbe of UGA fans that wishes Mark Richt would move on. I would gladly trade Tenn Mark Richt for Derek Dooley. He is smart as a whip, dedicated, grounded and a darn fine football coach and leader. With the exception of our annual matchup, I wish Derek the best in everything he does. He brings class back to the Vols. Truly, you guys should be celebrating the loss of Kiffin and celebrating the hire of Derek Dooley. He will do you proud.

I was dead set against the hire at first but the more I learn about dooley the more I think it might not be bad. He was at a bad school with no budget, no coaching staff, and he was the school's AD. Not ready to throw him under the bus just yet.

LOL. I would like a lot of things (win a million dollars), but that is wishful thinking. Those folks said "no", so you have to face up to the reality that those were no options and we had to go to the best that was willing to take the job.

He tried. None of those guys wanted to take a team with a depleted roster only three weeks from NSD... meaning a good chance of a tough recruiting year.

The way Fulmer + Kiffin left the Vols... it is a very, very high risk job right now.

Hamilton tried to get proven winners and he failed. That just shows me that UT is not being considered a top-notch program for the time being. Lets see who rejected UT...we got Muschamp, willingham, gruden, then cutcliffe and one other.

UT needs to start all over again with a young energetic coach who will fire up the VolNation, clean up the program, and get stability back into the football program. To do that they hired DOOley who, I believe, will be a super star coach in the SEC in the future.

Hiring Dooley is the starting block towards re capturing the glory days of the Vols football.
