Dooley sucks (merged)

Why would anyone listen to a Cubs fan talking about what on-field success looks like?

There is nothing I disdain more in professional sports than the Chicago Cubs. I have zero respect for human beings who associate with that pathetic joke of a "club"

He also went from WAC to SEC and a school that is supposed to win every year. He also got alot of inpatient fans to give him crap. So I know he is making alot more money but he also has alot more people to answer to. The coach at AIr Force and the coach at Utah would have made more money in Knoxville and the SEC, but didn't have the passion or want to rebuild a struggling program. Saban went 6-6 his first year with alot more scholorship players, I guess it's a good thing someone in Tuscaloosa had some patience. I am not comparing Dooley to Saban, just saying that he needs his two or three years before we honestly say he is no good.

I am starting to believe that we do, indeed, have some number of fans that are in-patient.

Whenever I feel down, I simply listen to the clean anti-Cubs rant of Marty Brennaman and the rather obscene one of Lee Elia.

maybe you can explain how he is supposedly worse than fulmer. the guy has coached 4 games here. give the guy a couple of years before you judge him. i think most reasonable fans understood that you might as well throw this year out the window.

dude the guy can't coach. was no good at tech and he is no good here. in 2 years from now he still won't be any good.

I couldn't get on due to work circumstances for most of the day today

but 17-20 is his record, and Hambone is hiring him at UT

what a letdown

I love the Vols, and I'm sick to my stomach right now

:lame:

Our coach is not the problem, so drop it.

Two words:

Mike....Shula.

Dooley is another mediocre coach who happens to be the son of a talented coach.

I just hope the Kool aid pitcher is nearly empty.

Spurrier had no college head coaching experience when he took the job at Duke.
His first season he went 5-6.
Second season went 7-3-1 and beat TN in second game.
A little trivia.

a better anaolgy to Spurrier beating TN at Duke, would have been Dooley beating Oregon or Florida

How is that a better analogy when neither of the teams you mentioned will go 5-6 this year?

Dooley does not run the ball, miss tackles, miss catching passes, or miss- read coverage, so why would you run him off. I was at the game yesterday, and it was boring but we won the game. We sure do not want the cheater back that my just have us on a probation,This team needs to grow, so be a real fan and give Dooley a chance.

Who coaches the players to run the ball, make tackles, catch passes, and read coverage. The coaches must bear some responsibility for this.

The man can't help the cards he was dealt when he took the job here. He is doing a good job with what he has. Once the talent level gets here you can judge his coaching ability. Until then get a clue and then get back to us.

It's FOUR games people, not 40....give him time...if he's no good after year three then ya I say we start looking for a replacement....anything until then is pointless...you think after no one wanted the job this year anyone "good" is going to want it now?

Was it that "no one wanted the job" or that "Hamilton couldn't hire anyone better" during his 3-day search?

vol_in_il's judgement amazes me, as well as champyvol(who seems to be one of the bigger tools on this board). champy wants to judge the guy for what he did at La Tech, really, La Tech. You couldn't get decent recruits to go to that crap school for nothing. However funny that Creer decided to go play for Dooley

blamming dooley for the shape tn football is in

is like idiot morons who blame the economy on obama..

when you enherit a shiiit storm it doesint get turned around over night...

but i tell you what...i cant sit through ugly playing like that and CRAP play calling...

i hate to say it but i think we hired the name and not the right guy.

3 years is my snapping point....

If after two years it is getting worse we can blame it on Dooley just like we are now blaming it on Obama.

it's too early to evaluate dooley. He was left with a bare cupboard by fulmer/kiffin and has some gaps on his coaching staff that he can correct in the offseason.

+ infinity!!!!!!
Those two seriously need to get a freaking clue.

it's pretty easy to judge, when the coach has a win/loss record

I do know that we're stuck with Dooley, so I should get over it, and I really mean for most of my post realtive to the hiring of Dooley to be an indictment of Hambone, since he hired him...

Amen Brother!!!
I have noticed that A LOT of the same people on here that were praising Dooley for the Superb coaching job he did the first 3 games, are the same ones now saying he sucks and should be run out of town...WTF?!?!?!?!????

FWIW...Welcome to Tennnessee Coach D, where the fans change their opinions like their socks...

Socks?????
