Duke-Maryland

you still haven't pointed out a single 1) thread that states the crazies are the only reason Duke is tough at home. 2) We are simply stating it's one of the many reasons. However, for you to 3) pretend that Shavlik Randolph, Josh McRoberts and Greg Paulus are great players is asinine. 4) No one argued with your statements. The argument stemmed from 5) dickens' hairbrained theory that the crazies are overrated and TBA is a tougher place to play.

Let me guess - you're not an attorney, correct?

1) you mean post, not thread, right? And I've actually pointed out two examples now (including DBake's). But at least one of those posters has now recounted his statement and agreed that the crazies aren't the only reason Cameron is a sig. advantage, which in essence tells me their impact is overrated, which was one of the main points of Dickens' argument.

2) Actually, I was the one who pointed that out. It's somewhere around page 4 of this THREAD.

3) So you're telling me that either every scout in the country and every coaching staff of every top program totally bombed on these 3 players and they were all just damn lucky to have the option of picking where they wanted to play ball. Either that, or K recruited and then played guys who weren't fit to wear the Duke uniform. Either way, you're criticizing him.

4) It certainly appears as if you're arguing with my statements in this thread, and for the record, I'm arguing with yours.

5) By using facts to support his case, he proved it's not so hairbrained. Since Pearl arrived, UT has lost 2 games at TBA, including beating the defending National Champions twice, Memphis once, Texas once, and numerous other highly ranked teams. Over that stretch (in other words, at the moment), TBA might be just about as tough a place to play as Cameron.

Listen, you love Duke, and that's cool. But argue facts with facts or don't argue.

You may choose to not reply to points 1-5 (if I were you, I probably would give up too), but please, answer my question - have you attended a game at Cameron Indoor?

i would quote your last statement, but it's filled with nothing but garbage so it's not worth my time.

You obviously hate Duke, and that's cool. The problem is you can't look at it clearly without seeing past your hatred. You hate them so much, you're not even fully reading the text of the posts in this thread. You are simply stating what you want the threads to say. It's ludicrous. Argue the statements made, not what you want them to say.

You are clearly not an attorney either.

So have you been to a game in Cameron? You didn't answer.

Also... what is with you people in Johnson City who love Duke. A kid who is living with me next year is in love with Duke. He's from Johnson City.

I haven't been to a game. I've been there twice, once for a practice.

As far as living in JC.. I've been all over the country and seen Duke merchandise. I think it's just a coincidence. As for me being a Duke fan, blame Wade Houston.

That's loyalty for ya'.

yeah.. i was 8 years old looking for a team to cheer for. I hated how Wade Houston ran things, I liked how Duke was ran. I became a Duke fan. That's loyalty for ya.

You mean you liked the fact that they won...

Or did you like when Duke players stomped on chests?

The Wade Houston years and the stomp happened during the same time period.

Do I really know more Duke history than a Duke fan?

because that means so much to the argument.... you're grasping.

Just checking. I didn't want to assume anything about your first-hand experience (or lack thereof, it appears) with the Crazies and an actual game at Cameron Indoor.

But I've only been about 6 times and live about a half mile away, so what would I know?

In case you're looking for other rebuttals, here are some synonyms for garbage: trash, detritus, waste, refuse.

you're not seriously going to bring up that lame Laettner issue are you? you're seriously reaching now.

is that not the issue you are referring to?

It was definitely the issue I was talking about. What issue were you referring to when you didn't know Duke's history?

Either way, my point was you 'liked how Duke was run' when their players stomped on other players.

So it was either you liked the way they were run, or you liked the fact that they won.

please lay off there chief. You don't even know how to read. You've clearly proven it.

Oh snap!

What does Bobby Hurley have to do with the chest stomp? And btw, Wade Houston was the coach during the chest stomp.

Laettner

If you want to know anymore about this program you're defending so vehemently, let dickens or me know. We'll gladly provide you the answers.
