Electric Vehicles

You can. But I dont know why you would. It's like the millenial thing with avocado toast and their latte mocha frappuccino bs. We are talking about vehicles in this thread, we have others for general inflation.
I was just responding to the more general tone of your post. No I’m not complaining about fuel prices I bought a gas guzzler on purpose.

But it’s highly disingenuous of the left to just focus on the pump while ignoring the ripple effect thru the whole economy of energy costs

Somebody is defensive and making crap up to justify their paranoia and unhealthy attachment to their truck. I swear yall listen to too many bad country songs with your woman banging your dog before leaving you but your truck staying faithful.

I never said anything about taking away your lover, I mean truck, never said anything about limiting it, production, sale, or use of it, and I have stated multiple times the government should stay out of it. Not sure how you and hog got any type of socialist slant out of comments about personal use of inefficient equipment.

Go suck the tailpipe if it means that much to you, I dont care.

You sound like some elitist judge when you bash people choice of vehicles.

The left wants an economic reset, this is how you do it

I have had my car for ten years. I can count on one hand the number of times I have needed a truck. And in that case it's much more practical just to rent.

Remember a large chunk of the next generation dont own any vehicle. A growing number arent even getting driver licenses. So a truck is on the wrong side of an EV in terms of their demand.

So sure if ND40 wants to justify a crew cab truck for the three times a year him and the boys roll out to a strip club, go for it. Compensate for whatever you want. The practicalities of things say EVs are going to be the future, and if it takes 20 years to get prepped for them we need to start now and not wait 20 years after demand and technology has passed us by.

We constantly complain that the government doesnt take care of 0ur infrastructure, but as soon as the government rolls put a five billion dollar plan to start supporting that infrastructure people lose their minds.
Lulz. ND40 doesn’t feel the need to “justify” anything related to his truck purchase and the appeal of EVs to the general public says you’re pretty much wrong on their imminent broad acceptance. We’re gonna wind up with a bunch of unused public charging stations. That’s it.

Your "needs" in no way dictate what someone else's are or should be. As far as that goes this is still a free country and someone can buy an F-350 dually to use as a daily driver without hauling or towing anything. I guess you're a different kind of guy than many that hunt, fish, boat, camp, have atv's, etc.

Cheap AF is elitist? I live frugally as I can. I make choices on purpose that support or align with that goal. I have some areas where I dont. But cars and energy I hate spending money on. And the prepper in me just doesnt understand resistance to the green movement.

If the green movement infrastructure was actually there and affordable more people would be less resistant. They're pushing something that can't even be accomplished yet.

So why are you so cheap and yet you want everyone else to drive electric cars?

So when I am driving through downtown atlanta with 6 million other people all these people are going hunting or hauling something on the regular.

If you want a truck get a truck. You dont have to justify to me or anyone else. I have never suggested otherwise. All I have pointed out is that peoples daily drivers dont need to be trucks. If you want it to be your daily driver go right ahead, but 90% of people dont have any justification beyond want. And again justification isnt needed, just pointing out facts.

That is all I have said. And this entire thread has been people flipping out over the truth that they dont NEED their truck.

Keep it, use it, drive it, sell and or buy it, I dont care, that has never been my point.

It sounds like you need to buy a new truck.

Lol. What does it matter? You’re not making any sense. You’re right though, nobody needs to justify it but if someone uses their truck regularly for the activities I listed it makes sense for it to also be their daily driver and they won’t need to rent anything. You sound like you wear skinny jeans and have a man bun.

It's not a green movement, it's a control movement. The "greenies" oppose truly green options at every turn.
