FORMULA-ONE - F1: Michael Schumacher Returns To Formula One - SPEEDtv.com
My God. The dark lord returns.
As we exclusively predicted on Saturday evening – just hours after Felipe Massa’s accident – Michael Schumacher will indeed replace the Brazilian at the European GP.
As we outlined then , Schumacher is the obvious choice for all sorts of reasons, but most importantly for the team perhaps he is no threat to Massa’s return to the team, which a driver with a longer career ahead of him might have been.
Despite the protestations of his manager Willi Weber – who appears to have been deliberating misleading the media or genuinely failed to second guess his long-time client– Michael has decided to return.
In
a statement he said: ‘Though it is true that the Formula One chapter has long been closed for me, it is also true that for team loyalty reasons I cannot ignore that unfortunate situation.’
He will get the chance to race at three tracks he knows well and has had huge success at in Spa, Monza, Suzuka and Interlagos, while he also sample three new temporary venues at Valencia, Singapore and Abu Dhabi.
My God. The dark lord returns.
