Fentanyl Now Leading Cause of Death For Ages 18-45

Well I’m NOT disagreeing that taxes also obviously play a role but the point is even making it legal didn’t change the crime around it nor did it change the gangs cutting it and lacing it to get more people addicted

I give up.

Seems very logical to legalize the reefers. Free up prison space and court/prosecutor/LEO time for violent crime. Take a yuge revenue stream away from the bad guys. Quit effing up lives of non-violent offenders. Raise some taxes on the sales. Tax the profits (and payrolls) of the legitimate growers and sellers. Save taxpayers money by defunding ridiculous enforcement. Keep the Fentanyl out of the supply (if that’s even an accurate narrative).

Eliminating the demand is a failed strategy by misguided moralists. Stop the hard core Bible thumpers from using a bigger government to force their beliefs on free people. Quit creating demand for more law enforcement, legal proceedings, and incarceration.

I don't know about laced but it is much cheaper to buy off the street than the dispensary
Watched a good documentary series on National Geographic explaining the Fentanyl and Legal vs. Illegal pot. Series is trafficked with Mariana van Zeller. Link below will take you to NG website if you enter your login to cable provider you can watch.

is your drug dealer charging you 10% sales tax ?
Typical weed dealers are just middle men. They get it from someone who got it from someone. The price rises along the way. That doesn't happen in dispensaries. They grow it, they sell it. Sure its taxed but no one cares if it means they are getting the best quality bud there is. You can get an oz from a legal state for less than $100. In non-legal states that same oz can cost $300.

So you've just accepted the crime that surrounds alcohol as inevitable?

Lots of crime around tobacco as well. We had a tobacco warehouse and thieves drive a truck through the wall to access and steal millions worth of product.

Because the government has made tobacco products so damn expensive with their taxes. In the Build Back Better bill there are even more massive tax increases on all forms of tobacco.

People scoff at the conspiracy folks. Yet, there is plenty of covert CIA social experiments to load your conspiracy guns with. I find it harder and harder to remain neutral in the conspiracy world. Air America...the original drug cartel post-Viet Nam.
Look into that Kiki Carmerana deal in the 80s or 90s

Hmmm... that sounds incredible.

Ok thats logical - safer product and safer deal at a dispensary than dealing with some street thugs in the ghetto and of course vice cops

That's ridiculous when we have the model already played out 100yrs ago. Prohibition increased the crime surrounding the substance. Those in favor of the bans look like idiots in history

You act people that smoke weed JUST smoke weed and use the regurgitated alcohol argument. The correlation between drugs and crime is there whether legal or not.

Once you start using hard drugs you aint got time for weed.

I don't use none of it either, waste of money
Weed is used for several things both good and bad. I never really had any use for it as a teen. Just ate everything in sight and then passed out. Not beneficial to the girlish figure. It’s great in cancer pain, failure to thrive, increases appetite. It has its uses. It can also become a lifestyle that can destroy people.

That is different than the claim you made a couple of minutes ago

Surely if laced weed is such an epidemic it's been studied and documented. Otherwise I'll just think it's people buying seeds and stems off the street because it's cheaper than the govt regulated stuff
People aren't buying " seeds and stems" on the street.

Vice ain't wasting time selling weed in quantities less than a pound.

If they are, then it's just another big fat waste of tax dollars on the police.
