A 2-loss SEC team that loses the SECCG is screwed. The precedent of screwing championship game losers was set long ago and reinforced last year when UGA got screwed.

The path to us getting in is wider than the path to us getting left out. To get left out Texas has to lose in the SECCG.

We have head-to-head advantage over Bama and SOS advantage over Ole Miss. Plus OM lost AT HOME to Kentucky. If either of those teams takes a 3rd loss in the SECCG we WILL get their playoff spot, assuming we handle business against Vandy.

Indiana would have played no one outside of Ohio State. If they get blown out I see no way they make the playoffs. The thing that scares me is Ohio State hasn’t been dominate this year so it will likely be a close game and Indiana will stay in the top 12.
Wonder if it wouldn't be better for OSU to take the L to Indiana and pray that Michigan still has Day's number

I've been saying all along 10-2 gets us in. We just don't match up well with UGA. We can beat anyone else
It's becoming really hard to win on the road in the SEC. We need Florida to beat Ole Miss in Gainesville. We need Texas A&M to get beat it would be nice to see GT beat Georgia and need Army to beat ND. We need to win out. I know we play at Vandy but is Vandy a road game really?

If we go 10-2 in the SEC and we beat Alabama and can't make a 12 team playoff then that's crazy.

Sporting News just put out an article focusing on our predicament.
Pretty spot on. I’d be upset if I thought we could get in and do anything, but the reality is we aren’t there yet. Should we be in over some of the others? I 100% think so. Do I think we’re a top 5 team? Nah

Yes, I saw that. The announcers were insufferable. Ga homers last night.
Yep. Very bad. And if you look at my posts, I rarely complain about announcers and officiating. But there is not any love for our Vols! It was a one score game until the end.

Kirby came out and said they could’ve had a bunch more yards if they wanted to….. they won’t help our cause.

We need to win out and for 1 or 2 of the other things to happen.

Losses for Indiana or PSU would also work. Honestly, the more I look at things this morning the less pessimistic I feel. Things have to break right, but we’re not dead in the water.

I don’t have a clue but middle run, sideline pass, overthrown deep shot is not working.
It's easier for the defense to prepare when they know what's coming because you run the same 3 plays game after game . How many yards could Sampson have if defenses didn't know he was coming up the middle every other play

I like our chances. Other than maybe Autzen stadium, we won’t be playing anywhere as tough as Athens at night, and one positive takeaway from last nights game was Nico’s composure. He didn’t seem to be rattled at all (except when the line broke down).
Happy Valley might be tougher than Sanford, but the opponent isn’t nearly as daunting.
