First They Came for the Confederate Statues, Then they came for the...

Benjamin Franklin?......this ridiculous **** is out of control...we're heading rapidly down the path towards president Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho

Anybody ever watch King of the Hill? There was an episode about a reenactment of the battle of the Alamo. It is scary how prescient that was.

So were these statues racist during the Obama administration?

Point is, this is simply another "Trump won and we can't stand it" move by the libs. No one gave 2 craps about these statues (to this degree) until now and it's simply a snowball effect.

If you think about it, under their rules just about every town name would need to be changed because if you dug deep enough I'm sure someone would find something to be offended over.

Yep, and some northern states were the first to consider secession and an alliance with Canada. The liberal interpretation of fact and history is a very tortured path through the world of sanity and reason.

I'm pretty sure these words should never be used in the same sentence.

It was only a matter of time before others started taking action against things they find offensive. Mark my words.
Cats will be next... they've always had a sense of entitlement.

Well you insinuated that the guy is triggered. So does he bother you?

The belligerent guy? As long as he doesn't get all 2nd Amendment on the protesters he's fine. Political debate is often heated. Nothing wrong with that. But does seem kind of silly to berate two solitary protesters over glorified participation trophies.

“As long as he doesn’t get all 2nd Amendment”? Lol...

Correct.

I for one do think we have a long way to go on race relations. And the fundamental thesis of BLM does not bother me, i.e. highlight it when there is a concern about law enforcement overstepping its bounds where race is an issue.

But of course the extremes make me wince, when protest turns to rioting and injurious behavior.

Race relations will never improve until the offended party lets it go. Racism will never be eliminated but the power can be taken out of it. The way you take away the power is to not feed it.

In other words you just don’t give a **** about it.

Racism has so little affect on someone’s actual life but always seems to be the default excuse. I don’t think the klan has kept anyone from getting a job, getting into a school, or anything else. If anything with affirmative action, lowered standards, and forced diversity across every walk of life the exact opposite is true.

In an individual circumstance? One promotion? One social insult?

Ok.

But try dealing with those individual instances several times a day, for your whole life.

I get that you think race is exaggerated as a factor, but you destroy any credibility when you claim it is insignificant.

I’d venture to say everyone on this board has been discriminated against multiple times in their life in one way or another. It’s not just about being a certain color. I get it though, there was a time when some were judged solely on skin color but it isn’t in 2018 and hasn’t been that way for awhile. The excuse is old and played out.

Morgan Freeman was asked how do you stop racism. Know what he said? Stop talking about it. Thats comng from a black man. People need to stop acting like the world owes them something.

I'd probably move somewhere more accepting and be with people more like me.

How would you know what effects who when you have never lived it and know nothing about it?

I see you are one of the crybabies who think white people have it hard and somehow minorities get all the easy paths to success. Don't blame others for your mediocrity.

Minorities have to work tens times as hard and be ten times as smart. Then for the exact same job get paid less with the same or more education and experience.

This ignorant and racist take is to be expected from a poster name confederate south.
