Florida in trouble

Most Vol fans are grasping at anything that would bring down the worthless sons-a-beatches in Gainesville. The mighty-since-90 gators.

This is quite different from the USC situation in that there hasn't been case after case of this (at least publicly) This will be slightly embarassing for them similar to how the Vol Hostessgate was for us. If more is uncovered then we might be talking about a different story

After all of his holier-than-thou b.s. last week, where is lawgator and his sanctimonious lectures....

Now we know how Uncle Urbie does it in Gainesville. Is anybody surprised?

What specifically did Urban Meyer do in this situation?

Aw, come on, its no fun if you guys don't swing back!

Tell you whose life is going to suck if this turns out to be true is the Pouncey who stayed behind. Microscope City for him.

Don't see much coming from this unless the Pouncey left at Florida got in on the action. If he did, then there could be fireworks. There needs to be some serious consequences to players and agents who do this kind of thing. A school can't control a kid 24-7.

What?

Right here. If Pouncey took the payment and the school found out and didn't stop it, that's a problem for institutional control. If the program did not follow whatever required safeguards are out there for this (and I wonder what they would be), then that's an institutional problem.

Otherwise, this is a mistake by Pouncey and the agent that may have repercussions for them. There is nothing UF can do to Pouncey, now.

As far as vacating a bowl win, I don't know exactly what the criteria are but that would of course totally suck and Pouncey would be a very disfavored fellow amongst Gator fans. From what has been reported thus far, this seems very different than the R. Bush scandal out at USC.

If in the end we do have to give back our W over Cincy, oh well. We will look at our BCS championship trophies and somehow get past it.

If you think this is limited to this "one time" occurrence, you are very naive. It's kind of like when the folks catch you drinking for the first time. The response is, "I just wanted to try it this one time...."

Uncle Urbie has been running an outlaw program down there ala Charlie Pell and the chickens are coming home to roost.

The Ron Zook Years -- An Era of Consistent Excellence?

It was a start.

this is a big waist of time. the worst case is that they might have to give up their sugar bowl win....whoopie...

The Ron Zook Years -- An Era of Consistent Excellence?

Ron Zook's worst year still resulted in a winning record and a bowl bid.

UT's worst years resulted in losing seasons and home losses to Wyoming.

Many will consider UT's 2010 season to be successful if they can duplicate Zook's performance at UF.
