Florida Player Credit Card Rumors

I don't see how Mac can keep Callaway on the team at this point. If he lets him stay it just makes the others feel like they can do whatever they want.

Same reason Saban, Jimbo Fisher, Urban Meyer and others keep great players around, even ones who get in some off the field trouble. Not saying it's right, just saying you shouldn't be surprised.

Calloway must have proof that is indeed ole Jim dry humping that shark.

No other logical reason that he's still on the team

Update:

#Gators suspend 7 players for season opener vs. Michigan: J.Houston, K.Telfort, K.Davis, A.Callaway, J.Smith, R.Desir-Jones, and V.Miller.

Suspension due to misuse of school stipend. Out of this group of 7...Callaway is a big time playmaker who really hurts the team by his absence. Fortunately for UF, WR is its deepest position, but no doubt Callaway is special. Not good heading into a tough opener v Michigan.

Now Michigan has to play punts not assuming the FL player will down it at the 2 for them.

:)

Stop whining. We're beating them regardless. I'm actually glad those players will be back for our game. I want no excuses coming from Florida after we kick their butt for a second straight season.

They will be, so you'll get your opportunity. Callaway, in between committing various misdemeanors, looks better than ever.

That, plus they don't have to worry about him taking it 63 yards on 4th and 13 in the waning minutes of the game. 😉

I'd be more concerned about him sexually assaulting the Michigan cheerleaders on the sideline

Suspension due to misuse of school stipend. Out of this group of 7, three are true Freshmen and likely would have redshirted anyway (Miller, Telfort, Houston), two are deep reserves (Desir-Jones, J Smith), Davis is a contributing DE who would have seen snaps, and of course Callaway is a big time playmaker who really hurts the team by his absence. Fortunately for UF, WR is its deepest position, but no doubt Callaway is special. Not good heading into a tough opener v Michigan.

Still should beat UM

It's not because he got in trouble, it's multiple times he has been in trouble.

Keeping him will hurt the team worse than kicking him off.

I understand what it feels like wanting a rival team to kick a player off, especially a great one like Callaway. I mentioned in another thread, Jamies Winston and Dalvin Cook should have been booted from FSU and I raised hell when they weren't. Not because I'm some righteous law and order guy, but because my team stood a better chance of beating FSU without them. So I know where you're coming from.

The real punishment for Callaway will be sliding from a high #1 pick to late second round. He's costing himself millions.

Im saying it knowing it will affect the whole team. Doesn't matter what Mac does. If it was the Vols I would say the same. I'm also not worried about him playing in our game. Yea he had 134 yards receiving but that was it. Had a punt fumble and called for a fair catch on a punt at the one.

He doesn't strike me as a very smart person, Callaway that is

I think you're minimizing or forgetting... Two years ago he was responsible for one of the most unbelievable plays in Gator history and the history of the UF-UT rivalry when he took it to the house with a little over a minute left, on 4th and 13, as a True Freshman playing in his third college game ever. The kid is a phenomenal player. Tennessee, Michigan and everyone else stands a better chance versus Florida if he's not playing.

He's lucky he's still on the team. What's this 2nd suspension

Besides the title IX stuff he was just arrested in May with marijauna. Apparently was hanging out with a 40 year old professional crook.

Callaway was cited for misdemeanor marijuana possession early Saturday morning in Gainesville, which, on the surface, seems like a relatively minor offense. However, at the time Callaway was a passenger in a black Mercedes SUV driven by 40-year-old Kendrick Williams, who has a rap sheet longer than “War and Peace.” Williams has been arrested more than a dozen times on charges such as battery, cocaine possession, drug trafficking, grand theft, and lewd and lascivious behavior with a child 12 to 16 years of age.

Yes he did that game, nothing last year. I'd put 20 on it he gets in trouble again by our game.

When the NFL starts doing their homework he's gonna fall for sure and have a lot of questions to answer in interviews

Right now I saw somewhere he was listed as third best WR in next years draft
