For All Those Hyping Billy Clyde

Here is how I look at it, although it is admittedly simplistic: As a Tennessee fan, would I be glad if CBG left Kentucky?

I would, which tells me that I on some level see him as a serious threat to Tennessee year and year out. It probably has something to do with Pearl being 1-3 against him, and in my eyes having tremendous potential once he gets things rolling. Kentucky would be foolish to get rid of him without giving him four years at least.

I scanned through here and didn't see it but did the KY fans throw bottles at BCG as he walked off the court?!
Did UT fans throw bodypaint and self tanning cream at Pearl after Kentucky routed the Vols in Knoxville?

1. The bad losses are one thing, but UK has a serious PR problem in CBCG. You might dismiss his sparring with Jeannine Edwards, but last night he dissed Tom Hammond, the consummate NBC guy, as well as UK's own play-by-play radio guy, Tom Leach.
Off topic, but about that... last night during the telecast, they 'honored' Hammond and Conley, and then Hammond said something along the lines of 'this is probably our last time calling a game here at Rupp.'

Is UK just kicking them out, are they not being retained by Raycom, are they retiring, or was Hammond just hallucinating?

It's funny how you have a crush on BCG and bash BP when it is obvious who had the better first two years on the job.

Someone who spends their time slobbering all over Keno Davis saying Billy Clyde has accomplished nothing is high comedy.

I'm not the one who said Kentucky would win the east this year because BCG is such a great coach

1st two years don't carry much weight when determining if a coach can have a great career.. just look at Coach K's first two years at Duke..

but BCG is no Coach K and BCG will NEVER win a championship at UK... Id be willing to make a wager on that.. that's easy money

Are you talking about SEC titles? If so, you've got a $500 bet.

ESPN bought the games. Unless they use Hammond and Conley they are gone.

I wasn't hating on BCG, just asking if this rumor I heard was true.

Hammond probably won't cross NBC lines to work for a Disney/ABC company. Conley allegedly burned bridges with ESPN a while back.

Nice...

So what exactly does this mean? No more Raycom? SEC games on one of the ESPN channels through the week and on the weekends?

ok how about this.. Bruce Pearl or Keno Davis will win a championship before Billy Gillispie... wherever they are
If we're talking National Titles, you certainly have a bet. Going to be hard for Keno to win one at Youngstown State, which is about where he'll land when he gets blown out at Providence. That makes it BCG v. Pearl, and I'll take that matchup all day.

May take a while for Pearl, but considering BCG will never win a title, what the heck, may as well
