No, no, no, no. Did I say no.... No way. I met Sanders at an Atlanta UT football club meeting. I was less than impressed...

Why? Just why did you actually post this? Do you think before you speak?

Did you recently have a concussion? Did someone pay you to do this?

Are you real or just a computer robot?

Are you asleep and posting in your dreams?

Why? Why?

I think it is a fair question? Obviously, jimbo Fisher likes him, or he would not be his offensive coordinator. Let that sink in. Randy sanders is the o coordinator for the national champion, but somehow, his detractors point to the fact that he failed at kentucky! Oh boy! Now, is there anybody that wouldn't fail at kentucky? All I'm saying is that I hope he can resurrect his career and perhaps be a viable coaching option for us, just in case he is needed. We are working on our fourth head coach in seven years uou know.
We have a few fans that are already questioning butch, so I hope randy does exceedingly well. I think butch is going to be just fine, but I don't know for sure.:hi:

If you are going to diss "necks" who "don't understand football" then you should be a little more careful with your facts.

Sanders WAS NOT the OC for FSU's national championship team. He was the QB coach... which is what he is good at. Fisher may micromanage him to "success". But he has twice failed as an OC. He was HORRIBLE at UT only masked by extraordinary talent.

Here's a simple challenge for you oh so "knowledgeable" one. Go track the ppg during Fulmer's tenure. Note the Cutcliffe years... and the Sanders years.

Sanders cannot discipline an offense much less a whole team. The worst mistake UT could EVER make would be to make him HC.

It is truly an incredible feat of distorted reasoning for someone so devoted to Fulmer to simultaneously defend the guy who probably more than anyone else cost Fulmer his job.

Hmmmmm

Who had Peyton manning,Heath Shuler, and tee Martin?

I have nothing against Sanders. I hope he has great success wherever he is.

But Why are you talking a new coach when Jones hasn't had time to even know all of Knoxville yet?

Just because someone is born in Michigan doesn't mean he wants to be Michigan's coach.

So please "Think before you talk, walk, or post"! Your post makes you sound .... well "dumb" or I don't want to say it.

Coordinator/ qb coach of a national championship team. Is it possible that he will establish himself enough to eventually become our head coach? I know there are a lot of necks that don't understand football and don't like him, but if Fsu wins another title soon with his leadership, he is positioning himself nicely. I like butch a lot, but if he become very successful, michigan may come calling. Just things to think about. Go randy! Go vols!:hi:

He was not the OC at FL St last year. He also was not the OC at TN until the National Championship game. So this is his 2nd attempt to fail miserably. We have an OC and he is working his a$$ off.

I said a GOOD ad keeps a short list? True or False? I think butch is great. There are a few, in the minority for sure, that aren't sold on butch. What if they're right and I'm wrong? I'm not advocating firing butch. I think he should get 4 years minimum to make us a legitimate east contender. Can randy elevate his career to the point of being a viable candidate someday? That's all I said. I think he is a better coach than this fan base has credited him for being, and obviously jimbo thinks so, elevating him to o coordinator. I don't understand the hostility.:peace2:

Question for VN. If I put BeattieFeathers on "ignore" will it also block his ridiculous threads he starts?

how does one get fired from a job or take a reduction, from Offensive Co ordinator at a college and then a decade later become a head coach there???

I know Dave Clawson was fired, along with the entire staff in 2008 and he became a head coach at Bowling Green and now at Wake Forest but that situation in 2008 was not his fault.

I dont see Sanders as being a head coach at any major program. Maybe at North Alabama University or Austin Peay but not a major university.

Please explain your sound logic as it relates to tee Martin and randy sanders. Do you get to pick and choose vfl's? Are tee and randy the only two x vols in the coaching profession? Was ken Donahue a Vfl when he was kicking our butt at Bama? What about Coach Dickey? Do you fault him for becoming a staunch gator supporter after retiring from ut? You guys are silly about this stuff....

You basically asked me the same thing I asked you?

Best thread title ever?

For the record folks, randy sanders is offensive

Unintentional - maybe.

Awesome - absolutely.

I was offended by his frequent use of his spit cup during the '99 Fiesta Bowl.

What about 2001? In 2002, clausen broke his collar bone. But in 2003 and 2004 we won 10 games (wow, tough times, huh?) in 2005, we had a qb controversy but Ainge had not fully recovered from injuries the previous year. There's more to it than meets the eye when everyone wants to Fahr the coach.:good!:

Clausen never broke his collarbone in 2002 he missed the Georgia game with a sore shoulder and the MSU game with a bad ankle --- getting waxed in the Peach Bowl 2 straight seasons was painful to watch

I'm sure it's been mentioned but I will do it again anyway. Randy Sanders was not the OC at FSU last year. After the season Lawrence Dawsey and Randy Sanders were given the "title" of co-offensive coordinators. It's just a title that was given to keep them happy as position coaches. Sanders game day responsibilities will be the same as last year. Jimbo Fisher is the real offensive coordinator at FSU just like he was before becoming the head coach.

His threads will still show up,, it will only block his posts within the thread. That is unless someone else quotes him, in which case the ignore feature is kinda pointless.
