Friday weigh in thread (suns out guns out challenge 8/31/2025)

First time posting in this thread. I started trying to get rid of the dad bod a couple of weeks ago at 234 lbs (I'm 46 yo). Last week, I was down 4. This week, I've been on vacation, but have watched my calories (I use MyFitnessPal). No access to a scale today, so I'll have to wait until Monday or so to measure progress. So far, just watching intake, but plan to add 20-30 minutes of cardio per day next week.

Thanks for your stories of success and encouragement!

Will update progress below:
5/19 - 234
5/26 - 230
6/9 - 226

5/5: 239
5/12: ?
5/19: ?
5/26: 227
6/2: 225
6/9: 228

I'll to have to start working out in order to shed more from here.

Goal is going to always be lighter than 4 weeks before. So I have two weeks to drop two pounds.

Target: 200 by June 30, 2018

That seems similar to my approach. I'm eating at a new lifestyle that should balance out at 205. It will be a slower drop but one I think is a lot more likely to be permanent

Down from 265.5 to 236.0 over the last three months. Now hovering at 238.0 last couple weeks due to visitors and celebrating 25th anniversary last weekend. Didn't run much either last couple weeks. Ran yesterday and hope to get out today if rain permits.

Still maintaining. Started back on my strength workouts this morning. Will try to do it every other morning, and hit the gym with hubby after work for cardio on alternate days. I'm at a good weight, but I am in desperate need of toning. Getting old sucks so bad.

204.3

Slow and steady I guess. At least I'm getting stronger. Been a long time since I looked like I had muscles

That's a slight gain.
The Dr was proud of me for not gaining weight. Apparently some of the things I'm talking cause weight gain.
I did point out that I gained 40 pounds before starting the meds.

So what did you do to your shoulder? Both of mine are feeling a little wonky lately, but I don't think it's rotator cuff (had surgery on rt should few years ago) because of how far up my back I can reach, know what I mean? Not sure what it is.

I had a tear that I didn't get go to the Dr for and it resulted in a frozen joint now I'm going to therapy to get the range of motion back.

Kind of the opposite with me, doc wants me to gain weight. Started at 128 a month ago, now up to 134. Target is 150.

Went to Dr today, down 1lb. That's 75 overall. Kinda surprised I didn't exactly eat ad well this last week and half. Starting to hit that stall

Down 8.6 lbs since 5/22. I have stopped drinking for a while and am now exercising and counting calories
