But I'm trying to temper my anticipation (lessons learned from football seasons) and just let the girls inform my expectations from the court week-to-week -- rather than from the media buildup and my own dreams for this coach and administration to redeem the legacy.

Caldwell will give up points to other teams just because of how many extra possessions the other team will have due to Caldwell's fast play style. Points per game allowed is not really an accurate statistic anyway because it's often based on play style. Points allowed per possession would be more accurate. I bet the score will be around 119-62. Could be more if Lady Vols can shoot or less if they can't. Marshall won by taking more shots than the other team, not by being accurate. Some of those gals could not shoot worth a lick.

Because of this new system Kim uses, I think the scrimmage is a good indicator of the players and coaches’ progress. Scrimmages are about reviewing progress and identifying weaknesses.
