But as i said before without 6-6-6-7 her mom said 6-7 Key defense in the middle we would have lost by more i think. Then again we should have won that game against WV. I will bet the house KJH starts the same lineup against Texas.

I'm not second guessing the people coach them every day but I still have the feeling that Walker, Davis, Burrell, Horston and Key are the most effective players with Green, KK, Suarez and Salary off the bench. Thats a rotation of 9. Probably won't satisfy everyone especially the ones that have a really bad case of butthurt after the last game but that's how I see it. That. leaves Jessie and Tess as specialty shooters and Emily and McCoy down low.

But they are W Va a middle of the pack Big 12 team it only makes sense most of their roster are small D1 or D2 players but us have we fallen so far that our roster is equal to them?

And Rennia was clearly fouled and forced out of bounds with 4.5 seconds in regulation. Don't know if che would have gotten free throws.

Some of you Debbie Downers need to head to the FB threads.
Sure we lost a game that we could have, and should have, won. But it's the first game on the road against a team with similar talent. We had the lead with 2 minutes left--that's a good thing. Granted, we screwed the pooch after that but let's think positive--we learn from this early season game and move on.

I like those 5 starting, I would like to see what Horston can do down low.

PG1 is correct. WVU is a middle of the pack B12 team that finished 17-12 last season AND who graduated their best player (and didn't replace her with anyone comparable). They didn't have a single vote in the top 25 rankings until this week. They are a decent team, but far from legit. They are probably a bubble team for the NCAAT

To answer your second question, LSU is one of the worst teams in the SEC right now. They have yet to win a game.

Don't put this on Rennia....she can't be perfect and the hero in every game,,,even MJ, Kobe and Shaq had bad games...it happens,,,,,when it did their teammates picked up the slack and their coach made adjustments.

No timeouts to change the direction of the game
No beatdown of the zebras for giving WVa 13 foulshots to our zero
No getting in the face of our players who were walking up the floor or committing mindless turnovers
erratic subbing
No confidence on the sideline, just hands on hips or folded,,,etc!

That is where the game was lost
I chose Coach K as my choice to coach this team when they were looking for a replacement for CHW
I still do
But I WILL hold her to coaching the game better than she did Sunday

Girl you’re talking out your behind. WVU will finish top 3 in the Big 12 this season. Save this post so I can remind you later lol.

The Big 12 is overall much weaker this season due to graduations, transfers and coaching changes (not Texas). The best players from a number of teams transferred out of conference. Star center for KState is out with an ankle. Baylor and Texas will lead the way.

Iowa State has a decent team but their PG play is young and really shaky. They were vastly over ranked to start the season. Their PG picked the ball up in the paint and got called for 3 seconds twice the other night.

WVU is also comparatively much better than they were a year ago. They returned all of their better players aside from Martin. She was not as consistent last season as she had been previously. Gondrezick was their leading scorer last season and has scored 20+ in every contest this season. They added Jayla Hemingway (MSST) and Carson (Georgia Tech) who aren’t individually as good as Martin but collectively make them a much better team. Martinez is averaging 13.5 boards compared to 6 last season. That more than replaces Martin’s 4 a game. Those numbers will drop in Big 12 play but it’s still a massive improvement. They aren’t a great team and we should have beaten them. But they aren’t a middle of the pack Big 12 team this season.

Yes CJ, but you must admit that the LVs would have won by 2 points if Rennia had score 10 points in regular time. This should not
have been an insurmountable task for a player of Rennia's talent. She scored 10 points on 4-9 shooting in the WKU game.

After watching the You Tube playback of the game just now I did not see Rennia pout but a couple of times and on two of those she was manhandled by the other team. She was more active than i thought she was and just had a bad shooting night. Hell i had one or two of those in my career! WV was the much quicker team and maybe the better team but we would have won at home. I dont recall Pat keeping all her timeouts to carry with her to the next game but Holly and to a lesser extent Kelly tend to do that. I guess we will have to wait to the next recruiting class to get in so we will have some 3 pt shooters although i hope Darby can help when she is well!

there were 48 missed shots and you can pinpoint it to one shot....impressive
she also had 6 assists,,how many other players had that many,,,none
the PG coming off the bench had 5 and the starting PG had 2
we had 8 FB points against a team that missed 15 3's (long rebounds usually = FB's)
Lots of people to blame

It was a lousy game on every aspect,,,it happens,
next u p, Furman

This was indeed a step back, this will be equally telling as to how we respond to it
