Please tell him thank you from all of us in our community. His and his crew's efforts are much appreciated and our prayers are with them to stay safe.

If it's simply an observation, hey my honest mistake. I've been a bit on edge lately as has everyone else. My apologies. Been running on very little sleep. I'm not complaining my home is still standing and we are all safe.

Also this isn't the thread to turn into an all out pissing match. So as I said earlier my apologies VolAllen :hi:

If you felt offended by my post, it's you, not the post.

When you live around here and see people from out of town make comments like that, whether you mean well or not you're not sure how to take it. As I said, my apologies if it was a simple observation.

We were in line to go before the rain hit so hard. I've heard the same things. Guys that are absolute beasts absolutely exhausted.

Dude, I'm from East Tennessee...just because I don't live there changes nothing. I was literally in Pigeon Forge last Tuesday. A hurricane ripped through my town like a month ago. $hi+ happens. Take a deep breath and realize that if you're reading this right now, you're all good.

Actually there is a difference but you're entitled to that opinion.

IMO they are both comments on an internet message board pointing out trivial facts related to the wild fires in OUR area. You need to log off if you are interpreting VA's innocent comment as making a joke about the situation.

Hey it's all good man. No hard feelings towards you as I hope you don't have any towards me. If you're a fellow East Tennesseean you understand what we are going through especially since you dealt with that awful hurricane that rolled through over there last month. I'm extremely thankful I have what I have right now because just like those families that lost everything, It could have easily been me as it was then.

On a side note, has Myrtle Beach recovered pretty well? That's our usual vacation spot and I hate to see it go through that.

Aside from not having power for a few days, this was the extent of the horror at my house....

...but a lot of folks I know lost everything. And all of the piers are gone.

Right. That's about like my folks' house. They were right down from cobbly nob and had a little wind damage but no fire damage thank goodness. They actually own a rental cabin business and the majority of their cabins are back in Cobbly Nob but they only lost a handful out of the 78 that are gone. Not sure if you're familiar with this area on this side of Pigeon Forge as far as Cobbly Nob goes, it's a beautiful area and it's crazy to see what these fires have done to it.

I hate to hear that man as far as people losing everything. Homes can be replaced but pictures and things like that, that are sentimental, can't be as well as people, obviously. Seems I remember watching the news and them showing one of the piers and the wind was taking it down.

When the catch the person(s) responsible for this they need to pay heavy.

They will.

We lost a cat, but that's all. We were lucky as well.

Dollywood does indeed have a ride called Blazing Fury. In actuality it isn't ironic, nor really offensive. The ride is based on how fires used to be fought in the mountains. Soo not really a big deal.

Most fires are contained currently all but 3 areas of Gatlinburg/pigeon forge are expected to reopen tomorrow.

Wiley Oakley, Walker Trail, and my apologies I can't recall the 3rd it's been a long long week.

I heard the propane tanks explode on Walker Trail it was eery

I think the 3rd one your referring to is Webb Mountain. Don't hold me to that though. Glad your safe man. Hate you guys lost your pet.

Hey man, could you get your tree out of the road people are trying to drive here.

Some people are just so rude.

They will.
