I strongly disagree. Texas has the head to head and is a one loss conference champion. If you do that, the games on the field and head to head match ups don't matter.
By that same logic is South Florida as good as Alabama cause they played them tough in September?
The playoffs aren't about one game. It's about the entire season. Alabama just beat the #1 team in the country that has been undefeated for two straight seasons. That's better than anything Texas has done. Also Texas lost a bad Oklahoma team which is worse than anything Alabama did.
Alabama has the far better win and the far better loss. A game in September can't supercede everything else that has happened.
Your opinion (and that’s all it is) would be valid IF Bama had taken care of business against Texas. They didn’t. Texas beat them badly at Tuscaloosa and like the commentator on CBS said just now, I don’t care when it happened. It happened and you can’t ignore it. As stated earlier, I guarantee you the committee is pulling hard for Louisville so they can put Texas and Bama in.Tennessee lost to South Carolina or we were in. Blame goes on the team for that. I wouldn't be upset either way. But use some type of logic here. Who's really better than Alabama or Georgia?
The answer is nobody. So if we're taking the best four teams, then it's Alabama, Georgia and Michigan plus some mystery team.
We have too many haters in our population. It is at epidemic or even crisis levels. Really getting out of control.

Yes the committee is no doubt pulling hard for FSU to lose so they don't have to choose between Texas and Bama and then defend it.Your opinion (and that’s all it is) would be valid IF Bama had taken care of business against Texas. Lol. I’m fine with some of that sentiment and I agree with reviewing the entire resume. But the irony of you saying “Bama has a far better loss” when the loss is by 10 at home to the team you’re arguing should be left out…
They were trailing Bama going into the 4th quarter. Bama had a critical turnover that led to Texas scoring again quickly to go from 16-13 Bama to 27-16 Texas in about 2 minutes. The game was much closer than 10 points.Your opinion (and that’s all it is) would be valid IF Bama had taken care of business against Texas. They didn’t. So the flip side to that is Bama is a 4th and miracle away from losing to a team that got throttled by NMSU the week prior.By that same logic is South Florida as good as Alabama cause they played them tough in September?
