HBO's "Game of Thrones"

Still thinking it's possible Jon meets the same fate as Ned. If Dany kills him, she can't use Drogon. Jon is Targaryen, he can't burn.

I bet if you go back and watch, they have foreshadowed plenty that she is darker than we want to believe. We just thought it was cool when bad guys were in her sights. In reality, it's anyone in her way regardless of the situation

She has always been prideful and insecure. Not a good combo for somebody with power and a family history of mental illness

The dragon dodging part, if you think about it, they caught Rhaegal broadside. Drogon diving straight made for a slimmer profile and easier to dodge. The question remains why she didn't do the same during that first attack though.
One of the recaps I read notes that both dragon were starving due to not acclimatizing to the north...and not at their best. Storyline was inconsistent tho. Euron’s ships filled the sky with harpoons and the same with Dany’s ships. How many of those scorpions got off ONE shot tonight?

I didn't like the way they took out Cersei. I said previously that her and Jaime came into the world together and that they would leave together too, but I didn't like the way they did it.

Other than that, I enjoyed the episode.
I'm not convinced that Jamie and Cersei are dead. I will wait until next week for confirmation. Major characters seem to be immune from falling rubble - only innocent civilians die that way. However, if that was the last we have seen of Jamie, I guess I am disappointed that his story arc didn't end in redemption, which is where he had been heading... and it is strange that they just forgot about Bronn this episode.

I still say that this episode worked though. Even if you found it predictable, watching King's Landing burn like that has a stunning finality to it. Who wants to sit on the throne of an ash heap? That's what it is now. It's a fitting end.

I know Dany has always danced with the dark side, but this episode showed how important Jorah was in her rise to power. He seemed to always be able to keep some of her worst impulses at bay. Now that he is gone, along with Misandie, Danny doesn't really have anyone left to temper her Targ tendencies. So we finally see her break and commit genocide.

You said it was predictable and stupid and I asked for an answer and you replied with “it sucked.”

That’s no answer at all.
Not going to argue. I didn't like it. I will still watch the final episode because it's still a great show overall. It seems a leap in logic for Dany to chain her dragons for killing one child to later transition to kill em all, let the old gods and new sort em out.

Yep. Where were:

Bran
Sansa
Bronn
Sam (don't miss him though)
Gendry
Yara
Brienne

All suspiciously missing entirely from this episode.

Also missing from the trailer from the final episode:

Davos Seaworth
Jon Snow
Dany not going to forgive Tyrion or Sansa-- Jon or Arya are going to have to take her out or Drogon will be burning some more people we like.

Least favorite episode of the season.

Very predictable.

I say that and will still tell you I love the show. My biggest issue with this episode was Jamie and cerci going out the way the way they did.

They've been setting up the mad queen. Don't really have an issue with that.

Looking forward to next week.

I absolutely hate these mfers for what they did with Dany..they made her the most evil person in the story. What a load of horsecrap.
I disagree. Everyone has a boiling point. Her rationalization made sense when you look at her as being of a singular purpose in life (to rule) and all the loss she had dealt with had made her ready to just burn it all down and start over again.

She had to be convinced to lock the dragons away.

This. From a story standpoint, her falling into madness, like her father, makes sense.
