Exactly. Anyone with half a brain could see that Dany was going to turn. That's the problem with this season. In the past, the writers were brilliant with keeping everyone on their toes and hitting us with moments we didn't see coming. This season, not so much

That is what I thought.

He still sent out the letters he was writing.

He had a small pile of them during that scene. Later on, they were all gone. My guess is the news of Jon Snow got sent to quite a few people.

Ok. That's fine...7 seasons... And while there's been plenty of hinting about Targaryen mental issues... Well let's just say they rushed it. Feel like turning Dany into a lunatic should have had more than two episodes devoted to it, no matter how many hints they dropped over the years.

A sequence of events that would lead to a turn like this used to take pretty much a full season. They did it with a scene change now...
